Re: [JAWS-Users] Unable to copy cd content
folks, don't forget as David somewhat pointed out, sometimes the burn is bad due to several things, up to and including flaws on the disk you burned to which makes things not work right. what is it your trying to burn/copy across? inthane -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of tim Sent: Sunday, February 17, 2013 6:02 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Unable to copy cd content I mostly came across this when using windows burner. The cd is seen and can be played, but not copied between other versions of windows. It mostly happens going from like win7 to xp. The reason for this is not backward compatible. Even thought all files used in the burn process are the same in newer versions they have updated code. I have also ran across this using different burn programs on xp doing all the same. The one thing I can say here is don't use a cheap fly by night burn program or what comes with windows unless your going to have those disks used only on that computer. Get a good supported burner and it will work with all computers and anything you put the cd in. Re: [JAWS-Users] Unable to copy cd content
Bad burn or a bad drive on your laptop. I'd try burning at a slower speed and see if the laptop will read that. If you just need to move files, their may be simpler ways to do it.
