I found the problem and can not find a fix.Something is wrong with the 
driver for my win 7 machine. I tried to update and it failed. I then removed 
it and tried to reinstall. This point the install fails with an error code 
37. I check as the Apple web site suggested to update itunes and that is the 
newest.

Hi.

If you connect your iPhone with your pc through the usb cable, than you 
have

access to the pictures area by Windows Explorer.

Open the folder, where your pictures are stored on your iPhone, and
highlight the pictures you want to copy, and copy them to the clipboard.
Open than the the folder Pictures, and e.g. a subfolder, and paste the
pictures there.
Now you can send the photo's that you want by e-mail.
