Re: [JAWS-Users] alarm programs for win764 apart from outlook?

I use day by day from:
http://www.blindsoftware.com/

the only drawback with it is it does trigger the UAC alert when its starting
up, so you get a do you want to allow? message popping up as your computer
fully boots but other than that it works great and is clear and easy to use
once you get the general hang of it, notes, reminders, contacts logs and
website auto links, all sorts of things available in a clear and easy to use
set of windows and dialogs.

Hi all,

what reminder programs are people using apart from outlook?

Outlook 2007 seems a pain with jaws14, appointments are all over the
place and its hit and miss as to whether you can find one a second time.

Hi

I can't speak on Outlook 2007, but both Outlook 2000 and 2010 have a setting
in the calendar to show the active appointments that are in the present or
future. This will show a list of the appointments that you can arrow up and
down in. While in Outlook, press control+y to go to the go to folder
dialog. Press c until JAWS says calendar. Press enter. Now while in the
calendar folder, press alt=V for the view menu or ribbon. In outlook 2010,
find current view and then change view and press enter. Use left or right
arrows to find active and press enter. In Outlook 2000, down arrow to
current view sub-menu and write arrow to open it. Arrow up or down to find
active and press enter. Also in Outlook 2010, one of the view choices is
list which will show you a list of all the appointments in the calendar.
But I don't see that option for Outlook 2000. But hopefully it will be in
Outlook 2007 so you can find past appointments as well as future..
