Re: [JAWS-Users] google settings in IE10
This isn't really a solution for your issue, but I have book marked a google URL that automatically disables google instant, sets me for 20 results per page, and opens links in a new tab. So, I just go to that book mark instead of direct to google. http://www.google.com/?complete=0newwindow=1num=20 -- Blue skies. [JAWS-Users] google settings in IE10
I turned on my computer this morning to find that IE10 had been installed. Now, I keep getting that horrible google instant when I go to my homepage. How can I stop that? In IE 9, I used to periodically get a link that said, screen readers, turn off google instant. That worked but it's not coming up anymore. I've got jaws 14 latest, win 7, and now google wants to make me crazy. I managed, after some effort, to open the settings page in google. There's a set of buttons for when to use google instant. Fine, but when I am on the never use google instant spacebar, enter, and the left mouse button don't do a thing other than send me into forms mode! I tried with the jaws cursor and the left mouse button and nothing happened. Any suggestions? Turn off the virtual cursor with JAWSKey+z, and then press enter or left-mouse button, etc. That works for some of the now inaccessible Google controls. - Original Message - From: Karen Schrade kschr...@sbcglobal.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2013 4:08 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] google settings in IE10 I turned on my computer this morning to find that IE10 had been installed. Hi Karen, on the settings page, if you move to the radio buttons, then press enter to go into forms mode, then you can use up and down arrow keys to select the option you want. sorry if this is late, but have you tried to remove it from the control pannel?
