change the startup priority, nake it so jaws is the first to load at
startup. it takes 21secs to fully load jaws here on win8

Jaws sits in the queue of programs waiting to start with your pc.
Try thinning out the number of programs that start up, only allow
those
that you use every day to start with the PC.
Run a malware scan as suggested.
If you use MS security essentials then uninstall and reinstall it.

Do you have any network drives mapped? Windows may be trying to
reconnect to these before continuing to start applications?

There are lots of reasons and the individual application is rarely the
cause.

It seems like it is getting slower. I only have one version on my

after the
 log

2014-01-23 Thread Trish
I forgot to tell you on the start up tab where is a list of items to
check/uncheck at startup. If your running window's 7, your really going to
like how after any changes are made and saved, and after rebooting, there's
no exit screen like was in xp, I really like this feature in win/7

I only have Jaws, MSE, Drop Box in my list of startup items on this laptop,
so jaws is quickly starting.
Of course, you can always undo and restore it back, not meaning systems
restore, but go back into ms configuration and check/uncheck items that you
feel you need.
