Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Youtube
No, it likely isn't a Jaws issue. I've had no issues with Jaws running either on 32-bit systems or 64-bit systems with Youtube. Do you have that Adobe flash enabled that Youtube requires, or the Html5 plug-in on your browser? Have you tried running Youtube from Firefox? Steve Lansing, MI - Original Message - From: Patti To: 'jaws users' Sent: Sunday, November 30, 2014 9:30 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Youtube Does anybody know anything about this? Thanks for reading it again. Patti Hey Gang, Having an issue where JAWS and Youtube are struggling for supremacy. When using JAWS 13, 14, 15 and trying to access Youtube on any browser (Mozilla, IE, and Chrome) and both Windows 7 and 8.1 the page won't load and JAWS quits working. Actually, all keyboard functionality for the computer freezes. I've noticed that the culprit seems to be the advertisement that tries to load when initially launching the Youtube home page. I've seen this more on 32-bit systems, but there still seems to be an issue with 64-bit as well. Does anyone have an idea for a fix or at least a work around for this issue? All systems are fully updated and browsers and JAWS are all current as well, just in case you ask. Thanks for any help you can give. [JAWS-Users] jaws and youtube
Hi all: Just had a quick question. When Igo to Youtube, to watch a video, I usually get the play button that I have to select before the video will start playing. However, some videos start playing on ther own, which is fine for me. However, I noticed something strange a couple of days ago. In one video which autoplayed, JAWS had trouble reading me the page. Some how or other it partially crashed, meaning I had to close my Internet Browser in order to recover JAWS functionality. I reopened and tried it several times more but it still didn't work, so I decided to just listen to the video till it ended and then used JAWS again and that solved the issue. Does anyone know whether this is a JAWS bug or an browser issue? I'm using JAWS 15 with the latest Firefox.
