Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws authorization problem

Hi,
I'm trying to install jaws on a 64 bit laptop.
I tried using the dvd but only a few items were installed but not the
jaws speaking program.
Then I downloaded jaws 11 so as to avoid 12. I then installed jaws 11 and
used my authorization disc I have from v 10. It would not accept it.

Next I downloaded v 10 and used the v10 authorization disc.
I receive an error message stating that I need to call fs to get any
further authorizations.

is there something I am missing. Shouldn't it be taking the authorization
disc?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick;

Follow the steps below to find out how many activation keys you have left.

I posted a question to FS about how to determine the number of activation
keys remaining. In case any of you wanted to find out, here are their
instructions, verbatim:

Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Support.

We suggest going to FSACTIVATE.com

http://www.fsactivate.com
2. Click on the continue product activation button.
3. Down arrow to: Verify the number of activation keys available for
your Freedom Scientific product and press enter.
4. Down arrow to serial number and again down arrow to edit.
Type in your JAWS serial number and press enter on the submit button.
5. Underneath the first seven digits of the authorization number, you
will find the number of keys remaining.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact
us.

Hope this helps. Take care.

2011-05-29 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Patrick.

If your version of Windows 7 is Enterprice or Ultimate, and you only have
the standard Jaws license, than you cannot register, because these versions
needs pro license of Jaws.

You ust also be sure, that you have upgrades in your license, while you have
inserted the disk for Jaws 10, and if this is the last version you have
license for, than you must upgrade first.

Good luck.

Hans Pauli.

haah no don't say that. you are always helpful. If I ddidn't know about
the key you would have informed me.
Yeah, my authorization number is on the disc and it copies it but it won't
accept it. So i will have to call on Tuesday to Fs and they will solve the
situation.

Thanks. You are a big help,
Patrick

hmmm, that's what it swounded like, but since you still have one key,
then you are typing in the authorization code incorrectly or its invalid
for some reason or another. have a great day and i guess i won't post
anything else here since everytime i post anything its wrong anyway.

nope, you used up your keys on the web and you are at zero keys and you
will need to go and ask for more keys.

Hi,
I'm trying to install jaws on a 64 bit laptop.
I tried using the dvd but only a few items were installed but not the
jaws speaking program.
Then I downloaded jaws 11 so as to avoid 12. I then installed jaws 11
and used my authorization disc I have from v 10. It would not accept
it.

Next I downloaded v 10 and used the v10 authorization disc.
I receive an error message stating that I need to call fs to get any
further authorizations.

is there something I am missing. Shouldn't it be taking the
authorization disc?

Thanks,
Patrick
