[JAWS-Users] jaws16 beta install problem with avast

2014-10-12 Thread Fanus
Hello list
I hope this is on topic. When installing jfw16 beta avast detects some
melicious files which I know can not be true. Is there a way to temporary
suspend avast to get the beta installed?
Regards
Fanus

Avast can be disabled for a preset time or until reboot. Yes a question
about JAWS is on topic.

a simpler system that worked perfectly.

Hello David
Thanks, but my version of avast is very inaccessible, so I can not figure
out how to disable it. Does anyone know what the keystrokes are?

Regards
Fanus

2014-10-12 Thread Bob
If you disable it during install it will probably detect the same file as
soon as it comes back on and remove it anyway.
You will need to add the location the installation file is and the freedom
scientific program files directory to the avast excluded files.
See the following link for instructions.
