Re: [JAWS-Users] launching different jaws versions

2011-10-31 Thread inthane
I use control and shift and the number row key that fits the version, 1 for
11 2 for 12, etc. I used 9 and 0 for nine and ten when those were in
residence here

I have also used control shift j and control alt j for a starting key and
not run into conflicts (if it's already registered with the system as a hot
key it won't be accepted in the edit field!)

Hi,

This may be a real stupid question but I'm sure people here have more than
one jaws version installed.

I am wondering what do yall do for the keystroke so it will not be in
conflict with lets say a word keystroke or anything else for that matter?

Of course there are no right or wrong answers, I am just looking for
different ways.

Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] launching different jaws versions

2011-10-28 Thread Lennie

Hi Kimsan,

I use CTRL+ALT+J for Jaws12, CTRL+ALT+X for Jaws11, CTRL+ALT+0 for
Jaws10 and CTRL+ALT+9 for Jaws9.

When I install Jaws13, I will make CTRL+ALT+J for that version and
change CTRL+ALT+X for Jaws12.

Speaking of the four version on my desktop XP computer, is there any
reason for keeping Jaws9 and Jaws10 anymore?

I do have Jaws11 and Jaws12 on my windows7 64 bits laptop where I
will remove Jaws 11 when I install Jaws 13.

I have not use Jaws 9 and Jaws10 since I started using Jaws11.

I am open for any suggestions what to do with my old versions. Is it
worth keeping them?

Many thanks in advance.

Lennie

Well, no. you don't need them anymore but you can always re-install them if
need be. So why keep them on your system?
