I fully agree. Besides it, the only problem of CDex is that the internationalization support has some important bottlenecs, so it is more convenient to use it in English even when UI translation is available in many languages. 2017-09-26 7:41 GMT-03:00 David Ferrin : > CDEX does take a little fiddling to configure it, but after that it works > well. iTunes in my experience does find artists when all else fails. Re: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws.
Perhaps there were changes in the Freedb server which this program uses to get CD metadata automatically from the Internet, so in case you haven't do so, I suggest you to install the latest version of the program. Regarding where ripped files are saved, although by default files should be saved in standard Music folder, you can check it and eventually modify the path in Preferences. Moreover, you can also manually set the directory and file name scheme based on the different metadata; it is well documented in the dialog box. 2017-09-26 2:18 GMT-03:00 jimrawls : > , I have CDEX now, and I can't find the songs, once they are ripped from > the CD. Re: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws.
CDEX does take a little fiddling to configure it, but after that it works well. iTunes in my experience does find artists when all else fails. I normally use gold wave myself, like others have said media player does quite well in all aspects of the process. I am sure there are other programs out there, just try a few and make your own choice. -Original Message- From: Randy Barnett Sent: Monday, September 25, 2017 7:21 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws. Re: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws.
, I have CDEX now, and I can't find the songs, once they are ripped from the CD. Another thing, I used CDEEX before, and it would find the artist etc. and just rip the songs from the CD. Now, when I tell lit to rip the whole cD, it wants me to put the name of the Album, the artist, the year etc. it used to do all that before. I loved the program when I had it before on my W7 computer. how can I get it work correctly? -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Fernando Gregoire Sent: Monday, September 25, 2017 6:18 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws. Hi Jim, If you have the Nero Package, no mater how old your version is, the ripping function in Nero Burning ROM is very accessible. If you're looking something open source, there's no better in terms of advanceness and accessibility than CDex. Windows Media Player is accessible for doing this, but I don't find it convenient nor very customizable. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of jimrawls Sent: Monday, September 25, 2017 8:01 PM To: jaws users list Subject: [JAWS-Users] looking for a good CD ripper that works well with jaws.
