there is a free Microsoft application called word view, it acts as a word
document viewer and you can save items to .rtf (word pad or jarte) or as
.txt (notepad and many others)

just go to:
www.microsoft.com/downloads
and input word viewer into the search field there

Hi all.
I have an old document that I can no longer open. I think it was made
using

MS Word 97 and 2003. I am currently using Windows 7 with JFW 14 and no
longer have MS Word. I have been able to open some .doc files with JART,
but not this particular file. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
