Hi One thing to try is to open the JAWS settings Center with JAWSkey+f6. Press control+shift+d to open the default settings. Type Allow wave in the control+shift+search box. Then arrow down one time to the setting Allow wave files with software synthesizers. If it's not checked, press space bar to check it. Then press enter or tab to the ok button and press enter. You then have to restart JAWS for the setting to take effect. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of susie Q Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2012 08:24 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] playing you tube files? Re: [JAWS-Users] playing you tube files?
That won't do a thing sense youtube content is video and not wav witch is sound only. Here are formats that they want you to use to upload. Here is a list of some well-known formats that YouTube supports: WebM files - Vp8 video codec and Vorbis Audio codecs .MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files - Typically supporting h264, mpeg4 video codecs, and AAC audio codec .AVI - Many cameras output this format - typically the video codec is MJPEG and audio is PCM .MPEGPS - Typically supporting MPEG2 video codec and MP2 audio .WMV .FLV - Adobe-FLV1 video codec, MP3 audio Here is a list of some common formats that YouTube does NOT support: Project files: No project files of any kind are acceptable. It is generally very easy to convert project files to a supported format. MSWMM and WLMP: You can easily convert these project files to .WMV. Audio files (MP3, WAV, etc.) and Image files (JPG, PNG, etc.): Convert these files to video slideshows. Re: [JAWS-Users] playing you tube files?
Playing files? If you mean hearing audio from youtube videos, she probably just needs to install Flash for her browser. One way to do this is to go to http://updateflash.org which will check to see which versions of flash you have installed, if any, and guide you from there.
