[JAWS-Users] shortcut keystrokes for clicking on pop-up balloons
hi list members, Could someone please tell me what the keystrokes are to click on pop-up balloons? I've gone to the jaws users tips and tricks page and couldn't find anything on how to click on a pop-up balloon. Any help on this would be very much appreciated, Many thanks, Ema Regards Emma. Hi. What version of jaws are you using? i think as of jaws 11, maybe even as of jaws 10, when you received a popup notification jaws would highlight it so all you have to do is press your left mouse button, that's the slash key on your number pad second in top left or caps lock then number 8 if using jaws laptop layout. If you mean the HelpBalloons that pop up in the Notification down near the clock in the lower right hand corner, just use the NumPad / key within about 5 seconds of it being announced. If you mean the ToolTips that can pop up with file information in Windows Explorer, or other applications to explain buttons, it is a little strange. You will need to go into Configuration Manager or Settings Manager and find the list box of items to speak for the Verbosity level; Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced that you are using. At the very bottom of the list is ToolTip. Press Space on this item to check it. By default, it is not checked in any of the Verbocity levels and tends to uncheck itself!
