If you are using JAWS 18 and want Australian English voices, you
should download voices for Vocalizer Expressive version 2.2.

The Vocalizer 2.0 system came out along with JAWS 18. You do not need it, no. 
But you can certainly get it. Go to the downloads, synthesizers page (you can 
reach it from the jAWS help menu I believe) if you want it.

If you are using JAWS version 16, you must download Vocalizer Expressive 
version 1. I know that you did not download version 1 because version 1 does

If you are using JAWS version 16, you must download Vocalizer
Expressive version 1. I know that you did not download version 1
because version 1 does not have "voice packs", i.e. you will need to
download each voice separately.

Hi.

What synthesizer are you using currently? Which synth did you download? I
believe Vocalizer Expressive 2.0 will not work with older JAWS version than
17, or maybe 18. So you must pick one of the other synths. You might have to
enable the synth in utilities, synthesizer manager under the JAWS menu, as
well.
