It's an important distinction for at least two reasons. A version, such as
2018, is released annually and is intended to be a substantial advance on
each previous version. Also, one version counts as one item on your SMA.
Each SMA payment covers two years of service and two versions of JAWS.

JM Casey nicely explains why VFO uses the term "build" or "release."

I hope it's now clear why this isn't just semantics.

The "build" is the latest release of the particular version. So, it's the
march build of JAWS 2018. Windows 10 is at build 1803, which is the third
month of the year 2018...etc.

To add further to this issue. Forced reading commands seem to be fine like
say line or top of file for a reason that escapes my understanding. It has
been a long time since I said this, but I might have to revert my systems to
the previous build until things get straightened out.

I can’t explain it exactly how this thing is acting.

Re: [JAWS-Users] a possible bug

2018-03-15 Thread Cristóbal
I've had this problem in prior Jaws versions when working in a Word or Outlook
email. Either replying or typing a new message. A simple Arrow down would do
nothing, but a controlplus arrow down or the same laptop command worked. It
used to be bad around a year or so ago. So far though, in the limited time I've
had to work with today's update, I havent' encountered that problem.
Currently on Microsoft Outlook Version 16.0.8431.2079 if that helps.

I installed the new build today. in the February build JAWS read all labels
and fields in OE. This new version does not read any labels, even field
names such as To, CC, BCC, Subject, etc. The fields are there, but JAWS
simply says "Edit".

What happened? i hate when a new release breaks something that has been
working well.
