[JBoss-dev] JBoss at the Solution Linux Forum, Paris, France

2004-02-05 Thread Ionel GARDAIS
Hi there !

I have just went through this forum and I thought
JBoss should be in da place.
Even if it's a Linux-oriented forum, there were lots
of open-source softwares present.

BEA was not there but Bull/INRIA consortium was with
JOnAS.
IBM was the gold partner...

Maybe folks get some infos about JBoss from Apple's
team as it was an highly visited stand.

Sacha, do you plan some commercial/demonstration
events in forums like this one in the futur ?

Re: [JBoss-dev] cmp with multiple datasource

2003-11-11 Thread Ionel GARDAIS
Hi Alex,

Staying in the multiple datasource stuff, do you plan
to solve the problem of EJBQL/CMR between beans with
differents datasources ? (RFE id 780043)

If not, where could I dig to try to solve this ?

[JBoss-dev] interact with security domains

2003-11-03 Thread Ionel GARDAIS
Hi,

How to interact with the security domains defined in
the login-config.xml ?
The interaction (check username/password match) will
be initiated by a custom JBoss service and the
security domain will be defined in the corresponding
-service.xml file.

thanks,

RE: [JBoss-dev] turn JBoss into an LDAP server

That is something that I'd be interested in (as
 developer), but I
can't promise any timeframe at the moment.

So do I.

I am looking after a thing to develop to get involve
in JBoss

I thought of an LDAP server but also a mail server
(smtp/pop/imap).

These two server could use EJB to store datas.

I am still wondering if these kind of applications
should be developped as a part of JBoss or as a
standalone application, able to deploy on any
application server

See you later, I'm going back to LDAP rfc readings :)

Does the port to the futur 1.5 Java compiler could be
useful ? (like generics, enhanced for loop, static
import ...)

2003-09-28 Thread Ionel GARDAIS
Hi,

Should it be wise/useful to develop an LDAP layer so
JBoss could be used as an LDAP server ?
