AN Are there any plans for the JBOSS-IDE to include modelling features, eg.
AN utilizing EMF in the future ?
AN Alternatively, are there plans for integration with any type of modelling
AN tool (beyond the basic integration some tools have with Eclipse) ?
Middlegen is definitely a tool that I would like to integrate some day
in JBoss-IDE. This is a two step process as Middlegen needs first to
be ported to Eclipse and SWT and then needs to be integrated in
JBoss-IDE.
But our main priorities at the moment are implementing deployment and
xdoclet generation as well as integration of a JMX console and a JNDI
browser. Our target date to have all this done is end of May. After
that comes JUnit tests, datasources and AOP. That's what I consider as
fundamental requirements. After that we will see and discuss how to
proceed. (:
That's the roadmap as I see it at the moment. JBoss-IDE is an open
project. So things may change on the path as people join and
contribute code and ideas.
