Re: I would like to become committer/maintainer on a plugin

2021-07-28 Thread Daniel Beck
I just added you to the team for the plugin. I think there's a bug in
re-sending expired invites that does not restore team additions. If you've
already tried to do things in the last 5 minutes and they failed, that
would be why.

Or if it can't be resent, maybe some info on how to trigger it again myself?

We encourage plugins to use GitHub as the source of their
documentation
.
That allows the plugin maintainer to update the documentation as

part of pull requests and allows the plugin site to use the
documentation from the developer rather than relying on the outdated
content stored in the Jenkins wiki.

In your case, you can :

  * see the current plugin documentation on the wiki at
https://wiki.jenkins.io/display//JENKINS//Calendar+View+Plugin

(as defined by the 'url' tag in the pom.xml file

)
  * Use the wiki exporter to convert the wiki documentation to
markdown  or asciidoc and place that into the README.md or
README.adoc in the GitHub repo (though it appears someone has
already started that process)
  * Update the pom.xml file to point to the GitHub README file (see
these instructions

)
  * Release a new version of the plugin so that the plugin site will
see the change and apply it to
https://plugins.jenkins.io/calendar-view/

If you prefer a video on the process, you can watch
https://youtu.be/BaEJ8v7INNQ and
https://youtu.be/PaQsvli92XY

The release history for that plugin seems to already be tracked with
release drafter.  I've liked the way that release drafter automates
the presentation of the changelog to users.  The second video
provides information on release drafter and you can read about it at

https://github.com/jenkinsci/.github/blob/master/.github/release-drafter.adoc

Until now I have only created some PRs on plugins, so a
link to all
necessary information on being a committer/maintainer
would be great!

Thank you.

Hi Oleg,

Seeing there is still no feedback from Sven, can we start transferring
permissions?

Thanks!

Added Sven Schönung, the current Calendar View Plugin maintainer, to Cc.
If we get approval for the plugin adoption, we can transfer the permissions
quickly

Re: I would like to become committer/maintainer on a plugin

2021-06-01 Thread Oleg Nenashev
Hi Roland,

Thanks for your contributions! Indeed it does not look that the Calendar
View plugin is actively maintained.
It has not been put for adoption either, so we will need to ping the
maintainer and wait for a 2 weeks timeout if no response.
I will help with that

Best regards,
Oleg Nenashev

I would like to become committer/maintainer on a plugin

2021-05-31 Thread Roland Asmann

Hello,

I would like to become a committer or even maintainer on the Calendar
View Plugin:

https://plugins.jenkins.io/calendar-view/

I want to merge at least the following Pull Requests:
- https://github.com/jenkinsci/calendar-view-plugin/pull/22

GitHub username: malice00
Jenkins infra username: malice00

Until now I have only created some PRs on plugins, so a link to all
necessary information on being a committer/maintainer would be great!

Thank you.
