As a workaround I was able to get it to work by: clicking Configure for the Deploy_Stage job Then scrolling down and clicking Save I made absolutely no changes to the job, but that seems to get it out of whatever strange state it was in. I could, but that would require updating the build. There are many projects, each with their own build script. That's a lot of scripts to update and test. We're consultants and this only affects us internally, so we'd have to fix all these without being able to bill to anyone.

Implemented the recursive search when no base directory is set in freestyle job configuration.
This seems to indicate that if I don't set the base directory, it will always do a recursive search. I tried setting the base directory to
${WORKSPACE}
but since that is the default it seemed to ignore that and do the recursive search anyway.
As a test, I also tried setting the base directory to all of these (the specific location of the ear file in the workspace):
build/dev/02_08_00/ear/target
build/dev/02_08_00/ear/target/
${WORKSPACE}/build/dev/02_08_00/ear/target
${WORKSPACE}/build/dev/02_08_00/ear/target/
All of those give me this error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: The base directory specified [${WORKSPACE}/] is invalid (doesn't exists or is not a directory or has insufficient privilege)
I assume I'm doing something wrong since the directory does exist and jenkins must have privileges to it since it created the directory.
Is there no way for me to tell the plugin that the ear file that the resource to deploy is in the root of the workspace? Even if there is only one copy of the ear, the plugin will still search the entire workspace recursively. It's a bit inefficient and it outputs a log message for every file that doesn't match the resource. Most of the log is those messages.

That is very good as list of slaves and their execution threads can be very long. Unfortunately the width of left menu Build Queue Build Exec Status panes does not reduce when Build Queue Build Exec Status panes are collapsed. I'd like to propose reducement downto width of longest menu item (likely Job Config History) when Build Queue Build Exec Status panes are collapsed. This enhancement enables to better use right part for showing more columns of a list view (which is not scrollable in new UI design).

If I enter only the rootfolder name as pattern, it works, e.g. ^Folder as pattern shows me the folder but without content, ^Folder.* as pattern shows me the folder WITH content) If I want to limit the visibility in there it doesn't show me the folder at all, e.g.^Folder/T. or even ^Folder.*T does not show anything. So my questions: 1. Do I something wrong in the pattern ? Isn't it a standard java pattern ? 2. I assume it would be matches against the item.getFullName(), or ? That looks on subfolder items like Folder/SubFolder/Item, or ? 3. Is there any option to enable logging to get some more details ? I am not very skilled in Jenkins logging, and adding a logger for

If the return code is not zero, the plugin considers the job to have failed. In real-life, non-zero return-codes do no necessarily mean that the jobs has failed. RC=4 (WARN) is usually considered fine, too. Under certain circumstances, even RC=8 may be considered fine (e.g. in delete steps when the dataset to be deleted does not exist). To cope with these custom situations, the Submit JCL step should provide a way to specify the maximum return code which should be considered successful. Example: A max RC of 4 would mean that any job return code lower than or equal to 4 should be considered success.
