There is a folders UX coming, so likely that can cater to this. In that case, perhaps the list will be less "flattened out" and those misc jobs will be hidden in those folders if/when you need to get to them. I don't really have any strong opinions on what it should be, and I Am Not a UXer I will describe our current reality at work, and see what you all think that might look like in blue-ocean world. We have hundreds of jobs. Maybe half of those jobs are in some way related to deploy pipelines; the other half are just... automations of this and that. They're not pipeliney, just freestyle job type things that "do stuff". So in blue-ocean pipeline world, they probably aren't what I'd consider first-class citizens. That said, if blue ocean will one day become the main Jenkins UI, well, then you have to show that stuff! I wonder if somewhere down the road, what y'all come up with is a screen that is devoted to just pipelines – or maybe a persistent filter or something – and then the "kitchen sink" screen for all the things, like the current Jenkins and blue ocean main screens. Anyway, something to think about. Thanks again for all the work you're doing on this. It's very exciting. Hi, Unfortunately we are not seeing any performance improvements . We upgraded to 1.5.3.1 version of plugin and set the System property using the groovy script console. For future reference, instructions on changing JVM's for Jenkins can be found here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14762162/how-do-i-give-jenkins-more-heap-space-when-its-running-as-a-daemon-on-ubuntu. Now if there are multiple jobs in the queue, Jenkins will boot up a new instance, and when it boots, it will re-evaluate the queue. If more jobs remain, it will instantly boot up another instance. We were using "Script Content" i.e ${SCRIPT, template="groovy-html.template"} in free style job to generate html emails, but it is not working in latest version of email-ext-plugin for Pipeline type job, when we try to put same in "body" field of email-ext step in pipeline. 2

The only suggestion I have related to the original ticket summary is to indicate that a plugin on the main list is getting installed b/c it is a dependency even if you don't check the box. For example: If I select pipeline, even if you don't check the box for the git plugin put something like (will be installed due to dependencies of pipeline) next to the empty checkbox for git plugin? Matthew Adams It's a downside of any modularized system. Over last years we invested some efforts into decoupling the stuff from the core and into creating API plugins. In general it allows flexibly managing release cycles for particular components independently. It also allows delivering many fixes without Jenkins core update, which is known to be pretty painful sometimes. Regarding the integration risks, they are supposed to be covered by project automation like Acceptance Test Harness and Plugin Compatibility Tester. But it does not work extremely well right now, we need more contributors in this area. Looking at the (quite complicated) LoadStatistics code, maybe these parameters help over a longer period of time. I ended up writing a shell script that uses Jenkins' REST api to look at the queue length, the number of offline agents, and then provisions nodes immediately. The issue, as reported: Jenkins doesn't seem to respect -Dhttp.agent=XXX That "Java…" is appended is not a problem in Jenkins, it's a constraint of Java.
