Issue Type:

Assignee:

Components:
 email-ext-plugin

Created:
 2016/Sep/26 8:57 PM

Environment:
 email-ext-plugin version 2.50

Priority:
  Minor

Reporter:
 Matthew Reiter

JENKINS-35367 got part way towards supporting email-ext within pipeline builds, but the following tokens still fail to expand when placed in the subject or body of an email: FAILED_TESTS, TEST_COUNTS, and TRIGGER_NAME. The email instead contains the following text: FAILED_TESTS is not supported in this context

Re: EMail-Ext Extended Pipeline Support - Templates

Even with version 2.50 the FAILED_TESTS macro does not work in pipeline builds; it gets expanded to "FAILED_TESTS is not supported in this context". I believe the problem is that FailedTestsContent was not updated to override the new signature for evaluate() that takes a Run object as opposed to an AbstractBuild object.

I've updated the patch to include a fix for the list not updating if no builds were running (nextBuildNumberToFetch was null, resulting in a syntax error in the _javascript_ code) and to make it work with concurrent builds if they finish out of order. jobStatus2.patch

[~danielbeck] Yes, I am seeing the same behavior. I opened two browser windows pointing at the job page, kicked off the build on one window and saw that the other window didn't see the build until I refreshed the page. I tried it a second time and this time the second window did update, so I think it's an intermittent problem.

[JIRA] [cli] (JENKINS-23248) CLI: get-job calls are causing file descriptor leaks.

CLI: get-job calls are causing file descriptor leaks.

From what I can tell, the problem is with the CLI, and specifically, its use of the Jenkins remoting library. By going back to the 1.546 version of the CLI and adjusting the version of the remoting library used, I determined that the leaks occur on version 2.38 but not on 2.37. Those two version are significantly different, so I'm not sure of the exact change that introduced the problem.
