I just installed job-dsl 1.76 on my box and am unable to reproduce this issue. Is this still a problem or has it resolved itself? If it's still a problem it may be a compatibility issue with jenknis-slim which I'm unfamiliar with.

Haha, fair enough.  You can build it from source using the tutorial [here| [ https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Plugin+tutorial#Plugintutorial-SettingUpEnvironment] .] Luckily you only care about the environment setup bits. It's basically: Install the JDK, download Maven, mangle the settings.xml and set some env variables.  Then run:{code:java}mvn install{code}Then retrieve the .hpi.  I tested a little more in my environment today, I'm fairly confident this resolves your issue, but don't want to go through the headache of a full release if it doesn't fix it.  Let me know...

Re: Startup Trigger label list doesnt work with master

Hmmm, probably more complicated than I want to walk through on here.  You can get a dev build of the plugin here and then you should be able to replace startup-trigger-plugin.jpi with startup-trigger-plugin.hpi (note the different suffixes, you will need to remove/replace the jpi) in your Jenkins "Plugins" directory.  Restart Jenkins and it should load the new plugin . If this works for you I'll go ahead and mark this ticket resolved and get working on a release for 2.9.

It looks like switching to Oracle JDK8 on the Jenkins master may fix this issue.  XUnit and Win10 don't play well when you're using OpenJDK on your Jenkins Master.

Looks like this is because WorkflowJob doesn't extend AbstractProject (for reasons). Jobs and WorkflowJob also don't implement getTrigger() so... I'm investigating a work around.

That appears to be the case, all affected nodes are Win10 AE, but not all of my Win10 AE nodes are affected. It doesn't look like the affliction is consistent: Sometimes jobs will run fine on these nodes, sometimes they won't.

Yes all running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. Luckily for us the issue remains isolated to specific nodes, and other jobs seem to run unimpeded. As I said above, downgrading to 2.7.4 made the issue disappear for me!

Freestyle jobs hang either at the beginning or the end of execution. I've let a few run for ~18 hours before they eventually crash with errors like these:

07:52:37 java.io.IOException: Unable to get hostname from slave. null
07:52:37 at hudson.plugins.perforce.PerforceSCM.checkout(PerforceSCM.java:1187)

07:52:37 at hudson.model.ResourceController.execute(ResourceController.java:98)
07:52:37 at hudson.model.Executor.run(Executor.java:404)

Reverting back to Jenkins 2.7.4 immediately resolved the issue. Issue was not observed with any Linux/OSX/older Windows

When rebuilding a job that was initiated by startup-trigger the Node Label Parameter is apparently not filled correctly. The job goes into queue with the message "pending - There are no nodes with the label ''" I haven't been able to verify this behavior in other scenarios, so it could be a problem with the Startup Trigger plugin, maybe something to do with the way it schedules the job?

I like it, good idea. I've thrown something together for the next release. The "Advanced" settings will allow you to determine which startup scenarios you would desire: 1. Trigger when Node connects 2. Trigger when Node is brought online And you can select any combination of one or both... Although I suppose you should select at least one, otherwise the plugin won't do anything... Anyways, this sound like what you were thinking?
