Title: Message Title Jesse Glick resolved as Incomplete I have no idea what is expected here. The method seems to have been newly added. The Javadoc is unclear. How does “entering execution” differ from “will now start running on an executor” of onStarted? WorkflowRun does not really use Run.State. It is probably meaningless for non-AbstractBuild implementations. Anyway from what I can piece together from JENKINS-34923, it is talking about the issue of build logs picking up encoding settings from agents. But WorkflowRun does not do that—it could not. Currently it just hardcodes UTF-8. Cf. JENKINS-31096. In other words, whatever one-shot-executor is trying to do, this is not going to help. You need to develop the complete feature as a unit before proposing APIs that we can never delete.
