This is probably old. Using the properties setting above would erase all parameters in pipeline. To get the 'keep build forever', users should use options \{buildDiscarder(logRotator(numToKeepStr: '5'))}

If you don't have "discard old builds" enabled then you don't see the "Keep forever" button. With that enabled I see the button on pipeline builds as well (jenkins 2.19.4, pipeline 2.4). Removing my vote but not the original reporter so don't know whether that resolves their issue too. I'm using Jenkins 2.7.1 LTS + plugins updated to latest on 30 July 2016. (I recall that vanilla Jenkins 1.6? had a similar problem.
