 Unless [~markewaite] disagrees with me, this is not a defect. Username/Password and SSH keys  (plus perhaps under certain rare exotic situations TLS client certificates)  are the only credential types supported by Git.

 While trying to setup git as the project's SCM I am getting empty list in credentials. When I try to add secret file or secret text credentials they are added to the global credentials but they are not listed in the git configurations thus I cannot use them. I did manage to create a user/pass credentials and it was present in the dropdown menu but the ones using secret file or text never show up, even after restart. I looked at issues JENKINS-38048 and JENKINS-40009 among others This is the format of the url I use:  ssh://g...@bitbucket.org//.git no matter what I do I can't see the credentials
