 Raihaan Shouhell works perfectly after overriding the temp directory. I'll close the issue. Just out of curiosity, is there any other option to force the plugin to connect to a windows node through ssh, other than setting the ami type to unix? (even though the ami is actually windows).  Your node is a windows node but you seem to have unix paths everywhere. You are also accessing the node via ssh. Assuming you do want to access it via ssh you need to set the temp directory to be a windows path. The default temp directory is a unix path, that is where i think your issue lies.
