Gods Work Ministry Inspirational and Encouragement E-Mail

Dear Friend,

There are times in our life that we underestimate our worth in the eyes of God. We
think of our past sins, mistakes, and shortfalls and think 'how could God really love
me?' The important fact that is rarely thought of is God's love and forgiveness start
where ours has reached its limits. The Bible declares in Psalm 103:10-12 He hath not
dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the
heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As
far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.
Never believe the lie of the enemy that God is mad at you and will not receive you
unto Himself because His forgiveness is eternal and His love is ever reaching. Rest
in His promise and know that you are greatly loved and favored in the eyes of God.
(Psalm 103:9-14) (Jeremiah 31:3)

I hope you are encouraged by today's message to rest in God's love and know that you
are most precious to Him.

THE TREASURES OF THE CHURCH

The early church had a stormy relationship with the wicked and powerful Roman
government. Cycles of severe persecution interrupted by tenuous peace recurred at the
whim of the emperor. Roman officials, ignorant of the actual teachings and practices
of true Christians, often acted out of bigotry, fear, superstition, or misinformation.
The royal court assumed that the growing Christian church operated along the same
lines as their own greedy religions.

The emperor, coveting the wealth these Christians must surely possess, summoned their
head bishop to the royal court and ordered him to produce the treasures of the
church. The frustrated bishop protested that the church had no gold, jewels, or other
valuables (which was indeed true at this point in history). The emperor, brushing
aside the bishop's objection, demanded that the riches of the church be brought to him
in the morning. The bishop left the royal presence quietly.

The next day the bishop dutifully appeared at the palace doorway. He was empty-handed.
I told you to bring me the treasures of the church! the emperor raged.

The bishop then invited the emperor to look out at the palace steps. Gathered
together, peering sheepishly at the great doors of the royal palace rising above them,
was a mass of ragged beggars, cripples, slaves, and outcasts.
These, said the bishop with a sweep of his arm, are the treasures of the church.

For his unappreciated but accurate insight, the good bishop was promptly martyred.

The treasure of the church is people. The church is not a building; it is not a
doctrine; it is not a program. The body of Christ is the church, the community of all
who believe in Him. (1 Corinthians 12)

Be encouraged and know that in God's sight you're His greatest achievement.
He formed you with His own hands and with His own breath He breathed in you the breath
of life. The Bible says that you are kings and priests in His sight that are highly
favored and called to be victorious in Him. In times of discouragement we are to
remember how special we are to God and keep a positive attitude knowing that we who
believe and trust in Christ are God's elect and chosen people. (Genesis 2:7) (Psalm
8:3-9) (Psalm 37:23-26)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-34 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be
against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall
He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who
is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is
even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Psalm 139:1-6 O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my
downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest
my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a
word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me
behind and before, and laid Thine hand
upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be
saved by His life.

1 Peter 2:9-10 ...ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the Praises of Him who hath called you out
of darkness into His marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are
now the people of

That He may set him with princes.--Psalm 113:8

Our spiritual privileges are of the highest order. Among princes is the place of
select society. Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus
Christ. Speak of
select society, there is none like this! We are a chosen generation, a peculiar
people, a royal priesthood. We are come unto the general assembly and church of the
first-born, whose
names are written in heaven. The saints have courtly audience: princes have
admittance to royalty when common people must stand afar off. The child of God has
free access to the
inner courts of heaven. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the
Father.
Let us come boldly, says the apostle, to the throne of the heavenly grace.
Among princes there is abundant wealth, but what is the abundance of princes compared
with the riches of believers? for all things are yours, and ye are Christ's, and
Christ is God's.
He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not
with Him also freely give us all things? Princes have peculiar power. A prince of
heaven's empire has great influence: he wields a sceptre in his own domain; he sits
upon Jesus' throne, for He hath made us kings and priests unto God, and we shall
reign for ever and ever. We reign over the united
kingdom of time and eternity. Princes, again, have special honour. We may look down
upon all earth-born dignity from the eminence upon which grace has placed us. For what
is human
grandeur to this, He hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus? We share the honour of Christ, and compared with this,
earthly splendours are
not worth a thought. Communion with Jesus is a richer gem than ever glittered in
imperial diadem. Union with the Lord is a coronet of beauty outshining all the blaze
of imperial pomp.

Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. --Ephesians 1:11

Our belief in God's wisdom supposes and necessitates that He has a settled purpose
and plan in the work of salvation. What would creation have been without His design?
Is there a fish
in the sea, or a fowl in the air, which was left to chance for its formation? Nay, in
every bone, joint, and muscle, sinew, gland, and blood-vessel, you mark the presence
of a God working
everything according to the design of infinite wisdom. And shall God be present in
creation, ruling over all, and not in grace?
Shall the new creation have the fickle genius of free will to preside over it when
divine counsel rules the old creation? Look at Providence! Who knoweth not that not a
sparrow falleth to
the ground without your Father? Even the hairs of your head are all numbered. God
weighs the mountains of our grief in scales, and the hills of our tribulation in
balances. And shall there be
a God in providence and not in grace? Shall the shell be ordained by wisdom and the
kernel be left to blind chance. No; He knows the end from the beginning. He sees in
its appointed
place, not merely the corner-stone which He has laid in fair colours, in the blood of
His dear Son, but He beholds in their ordained position each of the chosen stones
taken out of the quarry of nature, and polished by His grace; He sees the whole from
corner to cornice, from base to roof, from foundation to pinnacle. He hath in His mind
a clear knowledge of every stone which shall be laid in its prepared space, and how
vast the edifice shall be, and when the top-stone shall be brought forth with
shoutings of Grace! Grace! unto it. At the last it shall be clearly seen that in
every chosen vessel of mercy, Jehovah did as He willed with His own; and that in every
part of the
work of grace He accomplished His purpose, and glorified His own name.

We know that all things work together for good to them that love God.
  --Romans 8:28

Upon some points a believer is absolutely sure. He knows, for instance, that God
sits in the stern-sheets of the vessel when it rocks most. He believes that an
invisible hand is always on the world's tiller, and that wherever providence may
drift, Jehovah steers it. That re-assuring knowledge prepares him for everything. He
looks over the raging waters and sees the spirit of Jesus treading the billows, and he
hears a voice saying, It is I, be not afraid.
He knows too that God is always wise, and, knowing this, he is confident that there
can be no accidents, no mistakes; that nothing can occur which ought not to arise. He
can say, If I should lose all I have, it is better that I should lose than have, if
God so wills: the worst calamity is the wisest and the kindest thing that could befall
to me if God ordains it. We know that all things work together for good to them that
love God. The Christian does not merely hold this

Morning: Exercising Praise
I will praise Thee, O Lord.--Psalm 9:1

Praise should always follow answered prayer; as the mist of earth's gratitude rises
when the sun of heaven's love warms the ground. Hath the Lord been gracious to thee,
and inclined His ear to the voice of thy supplication? Then praise Him as long as thou
livest. Let the ripe fruit drop upon the fertile soil from which it drew its life.
Deny not a song to Him who hath answered thy prayer and given thee the desire of thy
heart. To be silent over God's mercies is to incur the guilt of ingratitude; it is to
act as basely as the nine lepers, who after they had been ured of their leprosy,
returned not to give thanks unto the healing Lord. To forget to praise God is to
refuse to benefit ourselves; for praise, like prayer, is one great means of promoting
the growth of the spiritual life. It helps to remove our burdens, to excite our hope,
to increase our faith. It is a healthful and invigorating exercise which quickens the
pulse of the believer, and nerves him for fresh enterprises in his Master's service.

To bless God for mercies received is also the way to benefit our fellow-men; the
humble shall hear thereof and be glad. Others who have been in like circumstances
shall take comfort if we can say, Oh! magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His
name together; this poor man cried, and the Lord heard him. Weak hearts will be
strengthened, and drooping saints will be revived as they listen to our songs of
deliverance.
Their doubts and fears will be rebuked, as we teach and admonish one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs. They too shall sing in the ways of the Lord, when
they hear us magnify His holy name. Praise is the most heavenly of Christian duties.
The angels pray not, but they cease not to praise both day and night; and the
redeemed, clothed in white robes, with palm-branches in their hands, are never weary
of singing the new song, Worthy is the Lamb.

Evening: Let Me Hear Thee
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to Thy voice: cause me to
hear it. --Song of Solomon 8:13

My sweet Lord Jesus remembers well the garden of Gethsemane, and although He has left
that garden, He now dwells in the garden of His church: there He unbosoms Himself to
those who keep His blessed company. That voice of love with which He speaks to His
beloved is more musical than the harps of heaven. There is a depth of melodious love
within it which leaves all human music far behind. Ten of thousands on earth, and
millions above, are indulged with its harmonious accents.

Some whom I well know, and whom I greatly envy, are at this moment hearkening to the
beloved voice. O that I were a partaker of their joys! It is true some of these are
poor, others bedridden, and some near the gates of death, but O my Lord, I would
cheerfully starve with them, pine with them, or die with them, if I might but hear Thy
voice. Once I did hear it often, but I have grieved Thy Spirit. Return unto me in
compassion, and once again say unto me, I am thy salvation.
No other voice can content me; I know Thy voice, and cannot be deceived by another,
let me hear it, I pray thee.

I know not what Thou wilt say, neither do I make any condition, O my Beloved, do but
let me hear Thee speak, and if it be a rebuke I will bless Thee for it. Perhaps to
cleanse my dull ear may need an operation very grievous to the flesh, but let it cost
what it may I turn not from the one consuming desire, cause me to hear Thy voice.
Bore my ear afresh; pierce my ear with Thy harshest notes, only do not permit me to
continue deaf to Thy calls. To-night, Lord, grant Thine unworthy one his desire, for I
am Thine, and Thou hast bought me with Thy blood. Thou hast opened mine eye to see
Thee, and the sight has saved me.
Lord, open Thou mine ear. I have read Thy heart, now let me hear Thy lips.

JNM - Chat with God; Maintaining a Proper Perspective THREE QUESTIONS ...

2004-11-05 Terurut Topik pttwr

From: Lie Ay Lieng

God is GOD's ID Me is an ID which can be anybody.

Some answers to the questions we all face. This is the extract of a net
Chat somebody had with God. It might be very useful...

God: Hello did you call me?
Me: Called you? No. Who is this?
God: This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the
midst of
 something.
God: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.
Me: Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush
hour all the time.
God: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results.Activity
consumes time.
 Productivity frees it.
Me: I understand, but I still can't figure out.By the way, I was not expecting
you to buzz me
 on instant messaging chat.
God: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In
this net era, I
wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God: Stop analyzing life, just live it, Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Me: Why are we than constantly unhappy?
God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are
worrying because
you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not
happy.
Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional
Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without
fire. Good
people go through trails, but don't suffer. With that experience their
life become better not
 bitter.
Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?
God:Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and
the lessons
afterwards.
Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from
problems?
God: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks offering beneficial lesson to enhance
mental
strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you
are free from
   problems.
Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading.
God: If you look outside, you will not know where we are heading, look inside.
Looking outside,
you dream, looking inside you awaken, eyes provide sight, heart provides
insight.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right
direction. What should I do?
God:Success is a measure as decided by others.Satisfaction is a measure as decided
by
you, knowing that road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode head.
You work
with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God:Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go.
Always count
your blessing, not what you are missing.
Me: What surprises you about people?
God:When they suffer they ask, Why me? when they prosper, they never ask Why
me?
Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side
of the truth.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.
God:Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be.Stop looking
for a
purpose as to why you are here.Create it. Life is not a process of
discovery but a process
   of creation.
Me: How can I get the best out of life?
God:Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence.Prepare for
the future
   without fear.
Me: One last question Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God:There are no unanswered prayers; At times the answer is NO.
Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the new day with a
new sense of
   inspiration.
God: Well keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your
beliefs. Life
is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve.Trust me life is wonderful
if you know how
to handle it, make the best of your life.

Maintaining a Proper Perspective

Did you know a single cup of coffee contains enough moisture to blanket your entire
neighborhood with fog fifty feet thick?
It's amazing how such a small amount of water-spread out so thinly-can hinder our
vision almost completely. We
