FS doesn't currently offer any Arabic voices. There may, however, be SAPI 4 or SAPI 5 voices available for purchase on-line. If you find and buy such a voice, it will work with any screen reader that supports the synthasizer in question, not just JAWS. -Original Message- From: Jfw [mailto:jfw-boun...@lists.the-jdh.com] On Behalf Of Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS) via Jfw Sent: Monday, April 6, 2015 8:24 AM To: Richard B McDonald; The Jaws for Windows support list. RE: Brother Multifunction Printer Software and JAWS
Hello all, I have only had one experience with a Brothers all-in-one printer. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. This was a lazer printer. My problems involved addressing envelopes and printing them out. I had difficulty getting the addresses in my address file to come up automatically, when telling the computer to choose the envelopes option. Then when I did get the address typed or to come up and tell it to print, the envelopes came out all crumpled up. I was told by Staples, that this could be due to using a poor quality envelope. Well, I've never had that experience with any other printer. I returned that printer and am now using a Canon all-in-one. The printer I now have, does have raised buttons, but there are still some issues involving setting the scanner options, as the choices are displayed in a window. Right now I have a brother laser printer, and it is top notch, but it is a printer only. I'm looking at a networkable all-in-one. I know I won't be able to read the display on the printer itself, but my understanding is that Brother multifunction units come with some sort of Brother MFL software. I would assume, perhaps incorrectly, that I could use that software to set my preferences when making photocopies (two sided or one sided for instance), and I could control the scanning process from the software rather than from the printer's LCD display which I couldn't read. Does anybody currently use the Brother software, and is it accessible? I have JAWS 15 on Windows 7 64-bit, and I'm reasonably computer savvy provided the controls read and don't say things like, Button button and button. Looking for employment with good JAWS skills
Hi all, I am looking for employment in Columbus, Ohio to work in a call center or a customer service environment. I want to use JAWS and the computer and phone to help customers mainly taking inbound calls. What employers do you know about who would hire a JAWS user and would have software that would work with JAWS either out of the box, or after some scripting. Here are some employers I am thinking about. Please feel free to e-mail me off list and tell me what you think about these employers and please tell me about other places I could apply at where I could do customer service work whose software would work well with JAWS. Here are a few types of employers I have thought about: Call Centers, Hotels, banks, Triple A car service, places that cell tickets for events, and stores that take orders over the phone. I cannot wait to hear from you to get some good employment advised based on what I have told you. Thank you so very much. ___ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com

Windows 7 Event Sounds
Hi, it's Annabelle. I'm making several different sound schemes for Windows 7, and I want each of them to have a different startup sound when Windows starts. However, the only thing my computer will let me do is check or uncheck the box marked Play Windows Startup Sound. Since I don't want all the themes to have the same Startup sound, I wonder if there's a safe and effective way to go about changing the sound for each theme I'm creating? What I mean is, is there a way to change the startup sound without completely ruining my machine? It seems funny how the sound can be changed within the Control Panel in earlier versions of Windows, but not Windows 7. Is there a reason why that happened? -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
