Re: Junk Ware Removal Tool

2015-08-24 Thread Mario via Jfw
The types of programs that AdwCleaner targets are typically bundled with
free programs that you download from the web. In many cases when you
download and install a program, the install will state that these
programs will be installed along with the program you downloaded.
Unless you perform a Custom install, these unwanted programs will
automatically be installed on your computer leaving you with extra
browser toolbars, adware, and other unwanted programs.

AdwCleaner is designed to search for and remove these types of programs.

You can download AdwCleaner at
https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/

I'm wanting to know if there is any JunkWare removal tool that is

This is a Win 10 computer and not all the applications or links are able
to be removed from the Programs and Features in the Control Pannel.

Any suggestions especially for something that is free. Thanks.

RE: mark list boxes

You should be able to alt-tab from any open app to any other open app. If it's
not behaving that way, something is wrong.

Jaws is so slow in announcing which application it is on, when doing alt tab..
So I asked how I can gain focus in those list boxes.

Thank you for your suggestion/help!

Judith, I recently had this happen to me, and it is not a problem with
JAWS. I suspect your computer is set to sleep after 30 minutes of
inactivity and you're required to login as a user or admin with a
password before JAWS will speak. these are controlled in the power
options in the control panel.

When you get an e-mail, outside it, say it came from so...@bellsouth.net,
you press Control C, which is to copy. Then you go to Contact and press
Control V, which is to copy - then you'll have Sonny's e-mail address.

Ann, I did as I was instructed yesterday - went outside your message,
hit Control C for copy, then Control 3 for Contacts, then Control V for

Your address is in my contacts, which I will delete, but my instructor
told me to practice what he taught, so I did that one. It definitely
works in Outlook 13 and is so easy! I hope it will work for you.

2015-08-24 Thread Carolyn Arnold via Jfw
If it comes from the mailing list, I see that it copies the list. I checked
on this one of yours, and your address was not with the mailing list or in
the cc, although your name was. It seems like I had one that did have the
name and list. That was when I learned the first way to hit Control 1 to go
to the from line, then copy it, then take out less and greater signs, stuff
like that, then go to Contacts and put it in the regular way, going through
the fields entering name, then e-mail address.
Best from,

Carolyn

That is the usual procedure,
However, depending on the type of account, you may be able to login via

In the case of my student email, I login via outlook.com/studentmail.ul.ie.

Maybe you could replace my information with what is after the @ sign in your

Do you access your email via outlook.com?
If so, there is a lite version of the email interface which is just check

There is also an Outlook app for iOS which might work.

you'll have the e-mail address. I did it with yours, and then deleted
it; somehow or other I deleted it twice, but it's out. Anyway, that
is one way that it can be done in Outlook 2013.

The good thing about the older harder way, I think, is a little more
 control of the data.

 Carolyn

Custom Radio Station Website that works with JAWS

2015-08-24 Thread Brad Martin via Jfw
I had found Jango.com which is supposed to let you create your own
custom radio stations, and I kinda liked it, except that it has been a
struggle to use it with JAWS. Many of the buttons are unlabeled, so it's
hit or miss whether I can do what I want on any given day or in any
given browser. I never could figure out how to create custom stations in
it, although the instructions make it sound idiotproof. The most I could
ever do was type in an artist's name, and see what came on as a result.
I forgot my password tonight, and I wanted to recover it so I could use
it at work. There was no way for me to change it without knowing the old
one, so I logged out in order to say I forgot my password. Now I can't
get the login prompt to come up. I'm completely over it and undone.

Is anybody familiar with a similar website that actually works with
JAWS? I've never used Pandora, Spotify, etc. I'm not a fan of I Heart
Radio for many reasons. Any recommendations out there?

RE: key stroke for desk top

2015-08-24 Thread Kimsan via Jfw
Windows b takes you to the system tray.
Windows key m = minimize which still places you on the desktop, and the
other keystroke is windows key d. If you press windows key d again, it will
take you to the recently access application, to do that with windows key m,
just add shift to it.

Hi,

I clicked on the link in my previous email, and it brought me to a generic
Outlook login.
I inserted my student username and password, and I was logged into the lite
version of the email interface.

If your account is similar to mine, which I think it is, you should be able
to follow the steps in the below link to activate the more accessible view

http://tinyurl.com/qzvs2y7

Due to the differences in our time zones, it is night time here in Ireland.
So I probably won't see your reply for 9 or 10 hours, but let me know how
it goes.

I'm unable to quickly navigate through the interface.

I can't remember what we used before lol, but I used to be able to

sign in, press x, to navigate from checkbox to checkbox and there was

a link for the subject, click it, read it, reply, rinse and repeat.

Now

I'm clueless!

All I can do is navigate heading-by-heading, and at times I get

lucky, am able to open up an email, but there is when the fun begins.

Reading the email, trying to forward, reply, even locating the send

button is a

chure!

I work for the school district, so I'm off for the summer and they

just switched over to office 365, and I'm trying to check emails from

home to get info about the possible strikes the teachers are

preparing for. Any tips on how to resolve this email issue?

Thank you!

desk top key

2015-08-24 Thread Jane Withers via Jfw
Thanks to you all. The windows key plus D. is what I was looking for.
Windows key plus M. the second time brings me to desk top, but I am too
impatient to have to do an extra step. Did not know about windows D. key the
second time bringing you to the last application. Thanks for all your good
information.

RE: Custom Radio Station Website that works with JAWS

2015-08-24 Thread Jim Hamilton via Jfw
Have you tried Tune In Radio? I have played with it a bit, and find that
you can do more than what you described in your online radio experience.
You can set favourites, which makes it easier to find the stations you
really want to hear. Personally, I mostly listen to an all Pink Floyd
station from somewhere in South America.

Good luck.

Subject: Custom Radio Station Website that works with JAWS
