Hi List, Are SSD drives all internal or external drives? RE: 8 HP Stream 4G tablet question
Hi Do you know when the webinar was made - I don't seem to be able to find it in the archive. I am seriously thinking of getting a windows tablet. Thanks. Subject: 8 HP Stream 4G tablet question Hello list, So Ive been considering grabbing one of these tablets. Mainly for leisurely use. Reading eBooks, audio/video stuff, Internet browsing and so on. Ill maybe connect my business emails to it, but beyond that, I dont expect to use it for work related purposes. My understanding is that Jaws will work on this device. My question is, considering that this tablet appears to only have 1GB of memory on board, how much will the JFW user experience be compromised by this? Sluggishness in speech, overall device slowing down, can I have more than one or two apps running in the background along with Jaws, etc.? Can the memory in fact be upgraded/expanded to 2GB? I would appreciate any feedback users of this or perhaps an alternative Windows 8.1 tablet can provide with their JFW 16 experiences. Thank you, -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi, Following closer examination of the menus I find you can delete a folder by going into the folder you wand to delete. Open menus go to the Folder Tab and down arrow until you find a Delete Folder option. Sorry to trouble everyone. Geoff -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Windows Tablets and JAWS
Hi, I am thinking of buying a Windows Tablet and installing JAWS on it. I see from one of the podcasts that this is possible. There appear to be a wide range of specifications for Window tablets. Does anyone know what specifications I will require when buying one. Thanks. Geoff -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Windows tablet and JAWS
Joseph, Thanks very much. How much storage would you recommend assuming using MS Office? Also I have not heard of Windows 10 -when is this used I have only heard of upto 8.1. Thanks. Subject: RE: Windows Tablets and JAWS Hi, You need to buy a tablet that: * Has an Intel or AMD processor. * Runs Windows 8.1 desktop edition (I'd recommend against installing Windows 10 for now due to major compatibility issues); this excludes anything that runs Windows RT. I'd recommend the following specs: * Fourth generation or newer Intel Core I3/I5/I7 or AMD APU's. * At least 2 GB of RAM (4 GB or higher might be better). * Any screen size will do. * At least one USB port or a built-in or detachable keyboard. I recommend at least JAWS 15 to take advantage of touch cursor.
