Hello Listers,

Is control O the same keystroke for typing URl in Crome as it is in internet

Thanks for your help.

RE: Problem typing URL in Crome?

When using the ALT-D method the URL doesn't have to be cleared. You can type
right over it because it is highlighted. Either way works though.

Alt-d puts you in the title bar and may have a URL that has to be cleared.
Try ctrl-l.

JAWS contains a help topic for Outlook, which can be accessed by holding the
JAWS key and pressing F1 twice quickly from within Outlook. JAWS help for
Outlook contains a section on getting started with the program. One change I
would recommend is turning off the reading pane for all mail folders, or at
least for your inbox. While some users find this feature useful (because it
allows them to preview messages without opening them), I don't like it because
it marks my messages as read before I have a chance to read them, and the
only way I've been able to resolve this issue is by setting the reading pane to
off.

RE: Screen rotation.

2015-04-25 Thread Martin Blackwell via Jfw
On the Dell laptops I've seen, Control plus Alt plus Up Arrow did the
trick. However, it never worked for me while JAWS was running. Only when I
exited. That may not be true for everyone. Which keystroke works may depend
on your graphic card. I don't know of any way to assign an audio cue.

Subject: Screen rotation.

Hi all.

From time to time my screen orientation gets rotated 90 degrees. I only
know this because my wife happens to see my screen. When it is brought to
my attention, I then recollect that I have frequent cursor jumping and other
minor focus issues. Since they were only annoyances that I chalked up to
the idiosyncrasies of JAWS I didn't know to fix the problem.

So, here's a couple questions:

1. What is the shortcut to re-orientate or rotate the screen?

2. Is there any audio cue that can be assigned to indicate the screen
has rotated?

Not sure what the shortcut key is that rotates the screen but it must be
similar or adjacent to one that I use since this seems to happen to me
reasonably frequently.

Thanks.

RE: contact to freedom scientific Technical support

2015-01-27 Thread Martin Blackwell via Jfw
It's kind of weird, but it seems as though your messages are being blocked
by a spam filter. This is a little technical.
This line in your message indicates that is:
The error that the other server returned was:
554 Service unavailable; Client host [mail-pa0-f51.google.com] blocked using
Barracuda Reputation;
http://bbl.barracudacentral.com/q.cgi?ip=115.74.234.58;

Barracuda that is mentioned there is a spam filter.
These are the reasons the site says they block addresses:

Your email server contains a virus and has been sending out spam.
Your email server may be improperly configured.
Your PC may be infected with a virus or botnet software program.
Someone in your organization may have an infected PC with a virus or botnet
program.
You may be using a dynamic IP address which was previously used by a known
spammer.
Your marketing department may be sending out bulk emails that do not comply
with the CAN-SPAM Act.
You may have an insecure wireless network which is allowing unknown users to
use your network to send spam.
In some rare cases, your recipient's Barracuda Spam Firewall may be
improperly configured.

That's the best explanation I can find for you. I realize that may not help
too much.
