Your mail was so touching .. especially to know that your group of 40 people came together very secretly every Friday to praise and worship our Lord Jesus even though it is banned in Saudi Arabia. I do agree that lord has told us to reproduce multiply. But when he ordered that, adam eve were the only human beings on earth. But I do wonder if that is practical in the current world situation where resources are minimal and there is an over explosion of population. It's really nice to talk about NFP in this modern world but isn't that too a kind of contraception where a man a woman refrain from sex during fertility period? isn't it the same as any other harmless artificial contraception? In both the cases, I find that the reason is the same - preventing conception. As far as I've heard from doctors, NFP is not safe. Can someone elaborate on this? With the availability of artificial birth controls, the evil of seduction gains more adherents. The devil succeeds in making impurity, adultery, fornication, and sexual orgy accepted norms of society, which ordinary individuals must regard as natural. This is the great deception! Remember the scripture is clear: NO ADULTERR, FORNICATOR, DRUNKARD AND GAMBLER WILL EVER ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. It is erroneous and unsound to put all the blame on Satan and his legions for all the evil in the world without also considering human responsibility. Temptation, it must be remembered, no matter how grave in its nature or duration, remains only a temptation. No guilt or sin is committed as long as we do not give consent to evil. We must be bear in mind that though we may, most of the time, find ourselves sinning and conniving with the devil, we can still take this occasion to repent, and redouble our confidence in Gods mercy. The sin, as Leon Christiani aptly says in his book Evidence of Satan in the Modern World, which is regretted as soon as it is committed, because one knows that it involvement of Satan, is a accident, a false step, a lapse. It does not prevent spiritual progress By virtue of Our Lords passion and death and His triumphant resurrection, He has gained for us the victory over sin. Our duty is to bring about in our lives that victory. Jesus has conquered the evil one. Christ tells us: Let not your hearts be troubled for Im with you until the consummation of the world St. Paul tells us: Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, Our Lord. Let us then fight the good fight. The battle, St. Prosper tells us, shall cease when life shall have ended, and the conquest of the eternal Kingdom shall attained.
