Michael,

what was the initial problem with having lib/ext in classpath?

I agree on the PATH var issue.

I removed the lib/ext from the classpath in the script.
I found there is also a set PATH=%PATH%;%LIB%\ext command. I'm not
sure it is necessary and it is not very consistent with lib/ext being a
program option, but may be it is necessary for some plugins using
native library (ecw ?). I did not test, so I let it there for now.

Peppe,

Thank you for the menu suggestions. I will respond to a couple of the items
you asked about. I don't have Sextante loaded, so I can't answer some of
your questions.

Peppe wrote: I wonder if they are still necessary to have or it would be

Raster Sextante.

I would say, based on the ability to load images from the File
top-level menu, that this menu item in the top-level Layer menu could be
removed.

Peppe wrote: Rename selected layer on Layer Tree is probably not

This doesn't bother me. Some people may not know to try a double click.
Wouldn't bother me if we took it out either.

I suppose this is possible. Is this where it used to be? Why does it work
better at the top of the LayerNamePanel pop-up menu?

It is getting sort of long. I don't know how much sub-menus will help. It
would probably be good to keep new menu items in the top-level Layer menu.

I'll let Stefan, Larry, and Michael comment.

 Just some observations:
 1) there is a Image Layer Manager (Test) on Layer Tree Menu

 2) Menu-Layer-Add Image Layer (Test, ECW DLL deactivated)
I wonder if they are still necessary to have or it would be better to
remove it from the menus: it has two duplicate: Open File and Open Raster
 Sextante.

 3) There are 3 menus on Layer Tree when an Image Raster Sextante is opened
 Extract selected part of Image
 Export envelope as geometry
 Warp Image to Fence
I think they would have a better evidence under Raster menu.

 4) Rename selected layer on Layer Tree is probably not necessary since it
is easier to change the name of the layer double clicking on it.

 5) Is it possible to move the menus from current position? Into Layer
Tree, Toggle visibility of a layer is located in a lower position. This
tools seems quite useful when it is used with several files. Is it possible
to move it between Selectable and Layer property menus?

 6) Layer Tree menu is actually quite long (24 items).
I wonder if it is possible to explore the possibility to add sub menus to
semplify it (Ex. a submenu Property to group Layer property, Move up
and Move down ... and Ede's Set Projection plugin).

Re: [JPP-Devel] Bug in labeling: display symbol position

2010-10-20 Thread Arnd Kielhorn
Hello,

they only use the onboard tools of OJ for labeling.
But first they used a font editor to create symbols like the documentated
sample symbol-font. Than they put this as a new font (TVA_GK_2.ttf) in the
system font folder to use this fonts in the labeling dialog (Change styles
Labels) of OJ.
To demonstrate the effect strongly they created in the sample symbol-font
different variations of the same symbol (with and withour concomitant lines or
pixels) as described (one with a concomitant fence instead of the character A
and so so on see the former attach report).

typography needed to fix the problem. I suspect a workaround exists with
