I have some questions:

* Is there a possibility to manage a lot of raster-files (tif's with
tfw's in my case) in one layer or to set the transparency of many
layer's or a whole category at once?

transparency did work for me when loaded as Sextante raster, selecting
all image layers and accessing the raster image properties. However it
doesn't work on normally loaded image files using open>file.

That seems to work, but only the first of the selected
sextante-raster's is actually set transparent.

* Is it possible to set a scale-restriction (hide above/below
  current scale) for the "sextante-raster-layers"?

this seems only to work with images loaded in the normal way - so not
with sextante :(

* The function "add image Layer" from the MainMenuItem "Layer" in OJ
  1.2: Isn't that a part of OJ 1.3 anymore?

this function is now the once that gets activated when you use just
"File" open and chose an image format (so not for Sextante Raster)

That option was part of oj 1.2 in addition. The function "add image
layer" loaded all selected rasters in one layer. This layer could be
saved as a Jump GML and  properties like the scale-restriction  could
be set at once, which was very convenient.

When loading files with the Sextante Option you will have a dot icon in
the layer view, while the normal file option will result in a square
icon in front of the layer name.

thanks for asking, becasuse it shows some inconsistencies. Would be nice
now to find somebody who is willing to remove those ;)

cheers,
stefan

Thanks in advance,
Nils

[JPP-Devel] transparency of a whole category?

2009-09-28 Thread Nils Kuhn

Hi,
in OJ 1.3 the rasterImage-PlugIn is integrated. That's great because of
the possibility to set the transparency of raster-layers (and of course
because of the usage for sextante-plugin which offers a lot of
supplemental functionality).
I have some questions:

Is there a possibility to manage a lot of raster-files (tif's
with tfw's in my case) in one layer or to set the transparency of many
layer's or a whole category at once?
Is it possible to set a scale-restriction (hide above/below
current scale) for the "sextante-raster-layers"?
The function "add image Layer" from the MainMenuItem "Layer" in
OJ 1.2: Isn't that a part of OJ 1.3 anymore?

Thanks in advance,
Nils
