By the looks of it, seems so.

EVPN Interworking with IPVPN

 draft-rabadan-sajassi-bess-evpn-ipvpn-interworking-02

Abstract

EVPN is used as a unified control plane for tenant network intra and

inter-subnet forwarding. When a tenant network spans not only EVPN

domains but also domains where IPVPN provides inter-subnet

forwarding, there is a need to specify the interworking aspects

between both EVPN and IPVPN domains, so that the end to end tenant

connectivity can be accomplished. This document specifies how EVPN

should interwork with VPN-IPv4/VPN-IPv6 and IPv4/IPv6 BGP families

   for inter-subnet forwarding.

[j-nsp] 10GBASE-T COPPER SFP+ - are they safe?

2019-06-11 Thread Karl Gerhard
Hello

the 10GBASE-T COPPER SFP+ draw a lot of power (up to 2.5W). I'd like to know
whether there are any risks or restrictions associated with using those.
How safe are those things in the long term, considering they draw even more
power than a 100km ZR SFP+ module? Is there a risk that my line cards and
switches will have a reduced life span if I go crazy and equip every port with
a 10BASE-T SFP+ module?

Regards
Karl
