I have installed from scratch Lollipop 5.1 on my Nexus 32GB (2012) and, even if I've updated K9 Mail to v. 5.003 which should have solved crashing problems, when I selected multiple messages, I still complain the crash Please note that this affects both the Inbox Trash folder(s). [k-9-mail] Re: Showing Unread email count on icon
Thank you all (especially Cape Codder (been so long since I've been on the Cape) for the thread. I couldn't get the normal icon to badge, but using the widget as my email icon in the tray gives me badging and the ability to hop to my unified inbox in one tap. Re: [k-9-mail] frustrating display bug
That looks like the same bug, thanks Dennis. I see htere's a bug report, but it looks orphaned -- have you heard from any devs, or gotten suggestions on how to help them improve it? I'm not familiar with debugging android apps. I should also say that I have not been able to identify any patterns as to which messages exhibit this problem -- many message display perfectly well. I think I'm seeing the same thing, and it's been briefly discussed here. Try rotating your device, or pinch-zooming the message. If that shows the content, I've been seeing it for quite some time.
