Thanks.

It occurs with every message and I did check the outbound server
settings by clicking Next in the setup panel. Since no error occurred, I
inferred that all was well.

 This probably means that K-9 can't send a reply to that message. Tell
 K-9 to show the headers, and take a look at the From header and (if
 present) the Reply-To header. My guess would be that the address to
 reply to is missing or malformed. If you see this on every message
 received via that account, check your outbound server settings.
