Re: [Kaboodle-user] error on loading
Dave; Cool, thanks for the bug report: exactly which version of WinPCap did you install? I'll try to reproduce the bug here. Also, which service pack of XP: SP1 or SP2? -Scott On Dec 9, 2004, at 7:58 AM, Dave Dyment wrote: I've installed Kaboodle under Win XP. Re: [Kaboodle-user] Kaboodle can't see UltraVNC?
G'day Scott, My [EMAIL PROTECTED] responds: RFB 003.006 -- Regards Ken Scott C. Best wrote: David: Heya. Please try this for me: when UltraVNC is running on the machine, please "telnet 5900" to that machine and let me know what it says. Kaboodle looks for "RFB 003.003" or "RFB 003.007" right now (RealVNC and TightVNC, I believe). If UltraVNC echoes a different string, I'll need to modify the Kaboodle code to detect it correctly. thanks, Scott On Tue, 7 Dec 2004, David Spoelstra wrote: I have two WinXP with SP2. Running Kaboodle V0.99d. Both machines are running UltraVNC V1.0.0 RC18 with the video driver. Kaboodle doesn't detect UltraVNC running on the other machine even though I can connect to it with the UltraVNC viewer. I uninstalled UltraVNC on one machine and installed TightVNC. Now, the other machine can see the VNC server. So I uninstalled TightVNC and reinstalled UltraVNC. No joy, the other machine doesn't think a VNC server is running... -David -- Regards Ken What do you call a fly without wings ?
