Dave;
Cool, thanks for the bug report: exactly which version of WinPCap
did you install? I'll try to reproduce the bug here.
Also, which service pack of XP: SP1 or SP2?

On closing the error message window , Kaboodle also closes.

Heya. Please try this for me: when UltraVNC is running on the
machine, please "telnet 5900" to that machine and let me
know what it says. Kaboodle looks for "RFB 003.003" or "RFB 003.007"
right now (RealVNC and TightVNC, I believe). If UltraVNC echoes a
different string, I'll need to modify the Kaboodle code to detect it
correctly.
thanks,

I have two WinXP with SP2. Running Kaboodle V0.99d. Both machines are

Kaboodle doesn't detect UltraVNC running on the other machine even
though I
can connect to it with the UltraVNC viewer.

I uninstalled UltraVNC on one machine and installed TightVNC. Now,
the other machine can see the VNC server. So I uninstalled TightVNC
and reinstalled UltraVNC. No joy, the other machine doesn't think a
VNC server is running...
