This was much easier than 2.5 as it didn't have ALSA. (:

OK, I have a first cut of the makefiles for 2.5.6pre1.  I have done
some proofreading, but haven't got a chance to try compiling it yet.
ALSA took awhile. (:

I've sent the tarball Keith requested, but if anyone wants to
re-proofread and/or test, get the tarball-of-Makefile.in's, or a diff
from Keith's latest (2.5.2pre3), at

  http://wire.cadcamlab.org/misc/kbuild/
