yep, try to use the fedora repositries or maybe use OBS
(http://build.opensuse.org) for creating RPM packages if you want :-)

hope this helps,

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute or create your own Linux distro. Give SUSE

I haven´t read the whole thread yet, but from my recent point of
knowledge, I would encourage you to have a look at the driver you use
for your hardware. Check them and please post it here, maybe this helps.

thanks

PS: Do you really want KWin, or could you also accept another window
manager like sawfish? This could be a slim alternative.

But I think Sheldon love Ubuntu? So he should use GNOME!? ;-)

A KDE shirt? cool thing, but in general, there using Windows on their
computers. According to Sheldon: "My new computer came with WIndows 7.
It´s much more user friendly then Windows Vista. I don´t like that"

[kde] Problem with the microblogging plasmaoid

2011-05-30 Thread Kim Leyendecker
Dear list, dear Andre!

Since I´m using openSUSE and KDE; I´m always getting problems with the
microblogging plasmaoid. In KDE 4.6 with openSUSE 11.4, I can create it
on my deskop, but when I connect to twitter, the connection is there,
but my tweets aren´t on twitter after tweeting.

How can I make this app working?

kind regards

I normaly suggest everyone to use openSUSE. And the de facto openSUSE
default desktop is KDE. I use KDE too, so I would them tell them to use KDE.

On my thoughts, KDE is the best solution for beginners and power users
as well. As a beginner, you don´t need to know how you can tweak your
desktop. But with KDE you already get a browser, a mail program and an
office suite. That´s all you need I think. (on openSUSE you get
Konqueror, Firefox, KMail, Thunderbird and KOffice, LibreOffice, so you
can search the app which fits best to you.)

When you become a power user, you maybe don´t want to swith to another
desktop because you love your environment or just want to stay because
it´s stable or nice to see it or whatever.

thanks
