I found a more proper fix directly in the multipart/alternative handling. This
is sure not the philosopher's stone. Nevertheless, it works for me also for
html-mails. The patch is in comment 24. Be aware, that the patch is not well
formated - it is only for testing.

[plasmashell] [Bug 365756] New: Cannot enable secondary output using PRIME before running "xrandr --auto"

2016-07-16 Thread Ismael Castiñeira Álvarez via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365756

Bug ID: 365756
Summary: Cannot enable secondary output using PRIME before
running "xrandr --auto"
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.7.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Multi-screen support
  Assignee: aleix...@kde.org
  Reporter: isma.ca...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

My system has two GPUs, a Radeon 290x (Hawaii chip, using the radeon-si driver)
and an Intel HD2500 (Ivy Bridge). The Radeon is the main card, but I use Prime
to connect a secondary monitor because the Radeon lacks VGA output.

KDE cannot enable the VGA output until I run "xrandr --auto". Before running
that, the output appears correctly in the Display Configuration dialog, but
setting Enabled and pressing Apply does nothing.

Running "xrandr --auto" sets the secondary display as a mirror of the main one.
After that, setting the display configuration in the dialog works perfectly. I
have it working as extended desktop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable Prime offloading (xrandr --setprovideroutputsource Intel "HAWAII @
pci::01:00.0")
2. Try to enable the VGA output of the Intel GPU.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
It should enable the VGA output in the Intel GPU and set it up following the
configuration.

I used this documentation to configure the Prime setup:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PRIME#Discrete_Card_as_Primary_GPU

xrandr output when everything is working well: https://paste.kde.org/p1umpuc50
"xrandr --listproviders": https://paste.kde.org/psorbbn1q

[krita] [Bug 365755] New: The option to use the reference image docker is permanently greyed out.

2016-07-16 Thread Madb via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365755

Bug ID: 365755
Summary: The option to use the reference image docker is
permanently greyed out.
   Product: krita
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Dockers
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: melvin.wants.h...@gmail.com

At one point I opened Krita to find that all of my settings were gone. I
honestly don't know what happened, it hadn't crashed. I was able to get most
of my settings back, but since that point I have not been able to use the
reference image docker. When I go to the docker list it is present but cannot
be selected. This is really, really annoying because it's my favourite helper.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. It's there from the moment I start the program.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
See above.

Expected Results:
See above.

I am not a programmer of any kind. I am an end system user who simply does not
have the knowledge to poke through code.

Can confirm, further examination shows that the file was saved correctly, but
Krita is looking for .source\ file.kra instead. This is probably just a typo
somewhere in the code and should be an easy fix!

[kmail2] [Bug 362958] After update KMail not interpreting Invite Emails

2016-07-16 Thread Fabian Vogt via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362958

I investigated a bit more:
When the mail contains only the text/calendar node, it's shown as expected.
The issue is that in a multipart/alternative handling, it only cares about
text/plain and text/html.
If one of those is present, it's displayed and everything else is ignored.
I have no idea how a proper fix looks like, for now I changed the "break;" in
messageviewer/src/viewer/objecttreeparser.cpp:352 to a "continue;", to always
display all mail nodes, including text/calendar. This works well for me as I'm
mostly working with plaintext mails and calendar invitations anyway.

2016-07-16 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=237878

digiKam latest version 5.0.0 very well uses the foreign keys support. Here,
SQLite and MySQL both support foreign keys well. It is not only essential for
data consistency, but also to make sure that wrong queries aren't executed. So
it's definitely an advantage to include it in DB schema.

Richard,
Can this file be closed now after improving MySQL support ?

Thanks.

Ah, ok. I guess I’m playing the part of the clueless user, I didn’t fully read
the requirements tab and know that I had to execute a script.

Its odd that digiKam would create the first database but not the others though.
Being unable to reach a db should not cause digiKam to crash however, network
issues could cause the same problem.

I’ll put some UI suggestions in another post.

Thanks for looking into it.

I suspect something wrong with old sqlite database files.

Please rename these files es *.old, and recreate the database from scratch.

Hello,

It is not possible to insert zero width non joining space into almost all
applications native to KDE such as kate. It seems an underlying bug affecting
any other subsystem and application running above it.

More information:
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-42074

P.S. It seemed the correct KDE application to file the error.

OS: Linux

 Component: callgrind
  Assignee: josef.weidendor...@gmx.de

When I run my program, OpenRCT2, for which we use custom linker script[1] to
move .text section around, valgrind's callgrind fails with following assertion:

valgrind: m_debuginfo/debuginfo.c:552 (check_CFSI_related_invariants):
Assertion 'cfsi_fits' failed

This is a program compiled with -m32 on a 64-bit system. Similar case when
compiling a 64-bit version on 64-bit system.

It works, however, when compiled with .text section set to default on my
system, then mmap-ing sections in their expected place.

  Platform: Other
OS: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general

  Reporter: kain...@gmail.com

on my system I can change the following things in Display Configuration:
- Display enable/disable
- Resolution: drop down menu
- Orientation
- advanced Settings
  - Refresh rate

I understand that refresh rate is in advanced settings but can you please add
orientation also to advanced settings cause only 5% of the user need to rotate
the screen.

advanced settings is usefull when you have a lot of very technical stuff to
hide for the default user (simple by default, powerfull when needed) but in
this KCM there is only ONE setting. when you write an book you won't add an
header for one text that would also fit in the section above.

so please add orientation and refresh rate to advanced or remove the advanced
settings text and show everything by default.

would be nice if the drop down buttons have all the same width.

Reproducible: Always

This time there was a file named "crashed" that I had to delete to get
Akregator back without the "demo.jso" tab. Once I closed Akregator and delete
the "crashed" file everything was back to normal without the "demo.jso" tab.
I have yet to figure where the "demo.jso" tab is opened; it just seems to
appear, making life difficult.
Thank you!

So I just tried that, konsole does not start(and using virtual ttys(tty2,

terminal related stuff, maybe this is a problem with the Linux kernel?

it's a bit odd, but clearly related to this code needing a properly thought

In any case can you attach your

(it shouldn't any personal data in, but you might want to check it first)

[plasmashell] [Bug 365105] QSystemTrayIcon with context menu does not react after second show

2016-07-16 Thread David Edmundson via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365105

Update:

We have one menu for the whole tray instance
We create and delete KSNI object in init() and cleanup() which are called on
show() hide()

The SNI takes ownership of the menu

so for the the second init, we set the SNI to a now deleted menu.

It doesn't crash because it's wrapped in a QWeakpointer + guards as this came
up before and someone did a bodge job of fixing it in
ee62e7d9d2fe185f00562a74602aa4c19e8a88c7 fixing the symptoms without
identifying the root cause.

[konsole] [Bug 349350] Some monospaced fonts missing in the fonts menu

2016-07-16 Thread Kurt Hindenburg via KDE Bugzilla

Git commit 2bdc78334a4b28ccf42452051aaeac3fd097ab9e by Kurt Hindenburg.
Committed on 16/07/2016 at 17:41.
Pushed by hindenburg into branch 'Applications/16.08'.

Allow non monospaced fonts to be selected

Due to various issues outside the scope of Konsole, some monospaced
fonts are not allowed to be selected. The default is still to only
allow system found monospaced fonts but users can bypass to allow any
font to be picked. There is a warning about issues when doing this.

Method for inserting into QFlatSet now returns index along with the iterator

Something strange was happening in Plasma where iterator - begin was
sometimes returning an invalid value.

[konsole] [Bug 359669] If the configured font is not present, konsole show a black window

2016-07-16 Thread Kurt Hindenburg via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359669

If the font is not found, "Qt will use the closest matching installed font."
which does seem to work on my system. I don't think anything has changed
recently and your version isn't that old.

Could you tell what font the system picked?

This was fun to detect - for some reason, this issue only appeared in plasma
and *never* in the test app. Strange but true. Will push the fix in a moment.

Thanks for looking into this!

Database type: SQLite (created with digikam 4.X)
Database location: local SSD
Collection location: local HDD (machine has 1 SSD, 1 HDD)

I ran in a terminal as you suggested. The only output triggered by deleting a

few lines printed by digikam after startup. Let me know if there's anything

Fix scrolling on hidpi screens

Scrolling with libinput was unbearably slow.

QScrollBar is much better at scrolling than us, so let it handle it.

[konsole] [Bug 349350] Some monospaced fonts missing in the fonts menu

2016-07-16 Thread Kurt Hindenburg via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349350

Git commit fa5f32f13fae38e8cee15dd2d87db30fa6dc6822 by Kurt Hindenburg.
Committed on 16/07/2016 at 16:48.
Pushed by hindenburg into branch 'master'.

[digikam] [Bug 365745] AdobeRGB Input Profile cannot be found or used

2016-07-16 Thread wil der beest via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365745

--- Comment #4 from wil der beest ---
According to the Pop Up for Default Locations in colour management, Digikam
searches in the following places:

/usr/share/color/icc
/usr/local/share/color/icc
~/.local/share/color/icc
~/.local/share/icc
~/.local/color/icc

Hovering over defaults also has Digikam report that the following folder exists
and is scanned:

/usr/share/color/icc

There are several profiles in subfolders of this folder, including the AdobeRGB
one. Copying the AdobeRGB.icc file into this folder directly, so that it is not
in a sub-folder, does not fix the problem.
