[kmail2] [Bug 373040] Stop line wrapping long links

--- Comment #3 from w...@obsidian-studios.com ---
Sample long URL, in Kmail should wrap on the word "Stop", so the rest is on the
2nd line and not part of the link. If a recipient gets the email, it will be
broken, only the 1st line is clickable.

[kopete] [Bug 368340] Build fails with mediastreamer 2.14

2016-12-05 Thread Pali Rohár
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368340

(In reply to David Geiger from comment #7)
> We have now the same issue on Mageia6.

Problem is because external mediastreamer library changed its API.

I have not find any information about it yet, nor how to port old applications.

Proposed patch pass NULL pointer to some functions, but again I did not find
anything about it, that this is really correct solution.

Passing NULL on "random" place without understood 'WHY?' is wrong solution.

I would suggest to report bug to mediastreamer project, that they broke API and
existing application... And without providing any information what to do...

[gwenview] [Bug 373295] New: 100% zoom button crashes gwenview 16.08.3 with 1-bit PNG image

2016-12-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373295

Bug ID: 373295
Summary: 100% zoom button crashes gwenview 16.08.3 with 1-bit
PNG image
   Product: gwenview
Version: Other (add details in bug description)
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

On my Gentoo system, when opening the PNG bitmap image and pressing the "100%"
zoom button, gwenview crashes with a segmentation fault in liblcms.

I'm using gwenview 16.08.3 and lcms 2.8.

Here's a short gdb session showing the error:

select a section of ill-indented code and hit reformat source
-> the code is not formatted at all

set the source formatter to artistic style and repeat
-> code is formatted

formatting the entire file (when nothing is selected) works fine

[umbrello] [Bug 64147] stereotype enhancements for uml objects

2016-12-05 Thread Ralf Habacker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64147

> to contain a set of stereotypes.
With version 2.15.80 (KDE version 15.03.80) commit
http://commits.kde.org/umbrello/aede266afbedf7c0983776e44a4e20108be36b63
umbrello got a refactoring of the widget displaying stereotypes in the property
dialogs. With this it is much easier to extend the widget to display a set of
stererotypes.

What is left is:
1. Display a set of stereotypes in diagram widgets
2. save to and load set of stereotypes from an xmi file
3. undo/redo support (may be implemented with topic 2.)
4. optional copy and paste support (may be implemented with topic 2.)

does not contain any critical code.

Can you check KDevelop's debug output when it crashes? It should tell you which
file it tried to parse last. Please share that file/project if possible so we
can try to reproduce.

[plasmashell] [Bug 373290] New: Task Manager shows windows of the wrong desktop/screen

2016-12-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373290

Bug ID: 373290
Summary: Task Manager shows windows of the wrong desktop/screen
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Hi,

since one of the latest updates (in the last month) I have the problem, at home
(dual-screen) and at work (triple-screen), that the filter "Show only tasks
from the current screen" and/or "Show only tasks from the current desktop" both
will show the tasks of a different screen.
So on screen A the task manager will show me the tasks from screen B and vice
versa for screen B.

This is a real pain in the rear, especially at work

Here my current version:
---
apt-cache policy plasma-workspace
plasma-workspace:
  Installed: 4:5.8.4-0neon+16.04+build58

Best regards,
Christoph

[kdevelop] [Bug 373289] New: KDevelop crashes on startup

2016-12-05 Thread Julio J .

OS: Linux

  Keywords: drkonqi

Application: kdevelop (5.0.3)

Qt Version: 5.7.0
Frameworks Version: 5.28.0
Operating System: Linux 4.8.11-1-zen x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I have some projects open loaded and some files (none of them huge), but when
it starts loading them, the process starts hoarding RAM till it exahust all
8GB, and then continues with the swap, after that, the system kills it, but
there is no reason for it to consume so much memory.

- Custom settings of the application:

Most of the projects I was loading are being loaded through SFTP from a remote
server. I have no idea if that's of any influence.

I am using Arch with all packages up to date.

$ uname -a
Linux XPS13-9350 4.8.11-1-zen #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Sat Nov 26 14:03:07 UTC 2016

Let me know if I can help debugging anything else. This starting happening over
a week ago, so I'm guessing is some kind of bug that appeared after the
upgrade.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

I have been using that for some time now, (rather than the new clipboard
plasmoid). Not only due to this and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343519
but also to the fact that "Ignore Images" is not working as intended.
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348932 and

Nonetheless, thanks for the pointer. :)

[k3b] [Bug 137436] Adding support for cdrskin as an alternative to cdrecord/wodim

2016-12-05 Thread Thomas Schmitt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137436

Hi,

for shorter logs you could try to burn only 100 MB to reduce the number
of logged SCSI commands by about 1/7.

---

We may also for now leave the CDEmu problems undiagnosed and concentrate on
getting the K3B and cdrskin aspects fixed.

The need to add option -tao for "DVD+R" media is a CDEmu problem, too.
I will examine the opportunities to recognize a CDEmu drive with libburn's
automatic write type delection. But that will in any case only be a hack
that is not in effect with currently released cdrskin versions.

Unconditional "-tao" is clumsy and might cause other problems or unfulfilled
expectations of the user.

So you too should consider to detect CDEmu by the Vendor and/or Model
id string of the drive. From the "Devices" lines in
  https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=102515
like

  DEmu Virt. CD/DVD-ROM 1.10 (/dev/sr0, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, DVD-R,
DVD+R) [DVD-ROM, DVD+R, CD-ROM, CD-R] [SAO, TAO, RAW, SAO/R96R, RAW/R16,
RAW/R96R] [%7]

i expect that the Vendor is "CDEmu" and the Model is "Virt. CD/DVD-ROM".
(You may ask by a run of: cdrskin --devices)

I believe that the Drives lines are composed in
  src/k3bdebuggingoutputfile.cpp
by

  Q_FOREACH( K3b::Device::Device* dev, k3bcore->deviceManager()->allDevices() )
{
 addOutput( "Devices",
QString( "%1 (%2, %3) [%5] [%6] [%7]" )
.arg( dev->vendor() + ' ' + dev->description() + ...

So this would be the device object properties to inquire for adding "-tao"
in the case of Device->MediaType values MEDIA_DVD_PLUS_R or
MEDIA_DVD_PLUS_R_DL. (In CdrskinWriter the field is burnedMediaType, i guess.)

Have a nice day :)

Thomas

Try to delete Plasma's theme caches, i.e. the files plasma* in ~/.cache/ (and
logout/login).
It seems that the theme version has not been updated, so Plasma isn't aware
that there might be changes.

Note: see also the FAQ in the source distribution.
It contains workarounds to several common problems.
In particular, if Valgrind aborted or crashed after
identifying problems in your program, there's a good chance
that fixing those problems will prevent Valgrind aborting or
crashing, especially if it happened in m_mallocfree.c.

Works fine to me with latest git version - I entered unexisting path to
"Location" field and path was created during creation of project.

I can confirm this one. My observed behaviour reported here:
https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?71029-Zesty-Testing=395985=1#post395985

I also have the two -staging repos enabled [for frameworks and Plasma 5.8.4].

When I go to System Settings > Account Details > User Manager, give it a login
name. real name and password, the cursor never changes back from the text entry
I-beam to a pointer, and Apply seems to do nothing.

It sound like a binary compatibility broken with Qt5.

I recommend to try the 5.4.0 pre-release Linux AppImage bundle on your system
to see if problem is reproducible :

[systemsettings] [Bug 340982] I cannot set my short date to YYYY-MM-DD, nor my time to HH:MM

+++

KDE classes have served as inspiration for Qt improvements before, and working
something out that works in/for KDE can have this effect again.

Improvements to the locale functionality could also take the form of a
framework (preferably Tier 1 I suppose).

A glance at Qt's locale page linked above suggests they've embarked upon a
thorough consideration of pros and cons of various approaches which is
understandable but will not help speed up the arrival of a solution for Plasma
5 desktops. I'd think that it can only help (them and their thought processes)
to have a modernised Qt5-based implementation of the KLocale solution from
KDE4.

FWIW: Qt5 and KF5 applications take locale settings from the host on Mac (e.g.
dolphin5 uses the desired MMDD short date format for me); a KLocale class
or framework shouldn't introduce regressions there, possibly even be a
transparent wrapper.

2016-12-05 Thread Thomas Schmitt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137436

Hi,

> cdrskin-burn-archlinux-iso-debugging-output5.txt

This failed due to the allergy of CDEmu towards SCSI command RESERVE TRACK.
As mentioned, this is caused by the lack of option -tao and the choice
of libburn to handle CDEmu like a real drive which holds a DVD+R.

Please add option -tao and repeat the experiment.

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
