partition manager showing wrong font and color

I use andika as system font and mainly orange colors. Both are ignored by

[partitionmanager] [Bug 373944] New: theming still broken with partiton manager 3 under Neon

2016-12-19 Thread PK
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373944

Bug ID: 373944
Summary: theming still broken with partiton manager 3 under
Neon
   Product: partitionmanager
   Version: 3.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu
  Reporter: pieterkristen...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

overview:
partiton manager 3 still doesn't take over the system theme in Neon.

steps to reproduce:
1) choose a non-standard system theme in plasmashell (e.g. different colors or
different system font),
2) then start up partition manager

actual results:
partition manager 3 didn't take over the new system font and color

expected results:
patition manager adapts to the system theme.

I read here https://stikonas.eu/wordpress/2016/12/18/kde-partition-manager-3-0/
that with partition manager 3 the theming (in Neon and Kubuntu) "is no longer
broken".
I regret to say that I don't see this.
Partition manager still doesn't use the system font and doesn't use the system
colors.

[kmail2] [Bug 373942] New: KMail crashes right after starting the program

2016-12-19 Thread Tobias
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373942

Bug ID: 373942
Summary: KMail crashes right after starting the program
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: tbp...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kmail (5.4.0)

Qt Version: 5.7.0
Frameworks Version: 5.29.0
Operating System: Linux 4.9.0-2.g6fbc0c0-default x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE Tumbleweed"

-- Information about the crash:
After KDE openSuse Tumbleweed repo-update to version 16.12.x, KMail remains
unusable:

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Starting KMail from the KDE-Desktop / from console.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
KMail isn't working either when started within Kontact: I can see my folders
and message list, but the content of the messages is not shown, even if I
select one from the list. I see the KMail-Greeter-Screen instead. Trying to
create / send a new mail or to move / copy / delete one results in a Kontact
crash. Maybe this is an Akonadi-problem, too? The contact list shows the same
behaviour.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[kwin] [Bug 373912] kwin crashes on compositor change

2016-12-19 Thread Martin Gräßlin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373912

This looks very much like a problem caused by the update. Please inform the
Kubuntu crew ASAP about it. They might have done a blunder there.

We have never seen a crash in this area of the code.

2016-12-19 Thread Ralf Habacker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373941

Bug ID: 373941
Summary: Inofficial state of umbrello/KF5 packages on

   Product: umbrello
   Version: frameworks5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: umbrello-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ralf.habac...@freenet.de
  Target Milestone: ---

At least on opensuse distributions umbrello5 installations are designed to use
an inofficial path layout.

For example from
https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/home:wolfi323:branches:KDE:Frameworks5/umbrello5/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/x86_64
mentions:

RPMLINT report:
umbrello5.x86_64: W: suse-filelist-forbidden-opt /opt/kf5 is not allowed for
official SUSE packages. /opt may not be used by a SUSE. It is reserved for
3rdparty packagers.

This need to be fixed.

Try this:
1. open multiple folders with same top-level directory.
2. Now go to krunner and type "recent". It shows the same top-level folder
multiple times. ("Lectures" in my case.)

It should show the innermost folder I visted, this is weird.

You're talking about the left pane / sidebar, correct? If so, then yeah, I can
confirm it's missing from v16.12 (on Arch Linux). That really sucks - I rely
on that feature a lot. (And Konqueror is pretty useless as a file manager
without it.) I do hope this is just a small bug/oversight and is something
that can be fixed soon.

Font Management Fonts

Hey I am not sure if this is a bug or I am doing something completely wrong but
I am trying to use "any" of the Nerd Fonts
https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts or Overpass http://overpassfont.org/
font in Konsole but none of them appear in the Font Chooser under settings.

I have tried this on both the latest Kubuntu and the latest KDE Neon.

Overpass is installed to ~/.fonts
Nerd Fonts are installed to ~/.local/share/fonts

Oddly enough "Font Management" tool shows the Fonts

Is there a possibility that I am doing something wrong or is this a known bug
with Konsole?

When trying to relaunch apper a second time, the new process only prints
"Message recipient disconnected from message bus without replying", and both
exit.
Launching it again then works.
So for the user, it looks like apper only starts one time out of two.

On first launch :
QCommandLineParser: option not defined: "install-mime-type"
QCommandLineParser: option not defined: "install-package-name"
QCommandLineParser: option not defined: "install-provide-file"
QCommandLineParser: option not defined: "install-catalog"
QCommandLineParser: option not defined: "remove-package-by-file"
Invalid pixmap specified.
Invalid pixmap specified.
QObject::connect: No such slot MainUi::setCaption(QString)
QObject::connect:  (sender name:   'ApperKCM')
QObject::connect: No such signal MainUi::finished()

The issue comes from the "No such signal MainUi::finished()".
I don't know why it seems new, since the code is quite old.

Git commit 70c7697d3d764429786e6a6cd4469d402b209dca by Robby Stephenson.
Committed on 20/12/2016 at 01:50.
Pushed by rstephenson into branch 'master'.

Do not remove first two characters from relative file listings

Using QUrl instead of KUrl had a behavior change with relative folder
paths. Restore the old Tellico behavior when importing a file listing of
using an empty string for the root folder instead of "." and avoid
truncating the first two characters in the path

Not a bad idea, but we're not taking ideas for applets on the bug tracker, and
restricting this to only bugs otherwise we lose both bugs and ideas in the
noise.

Thanks

[plasmashell] [Bug 373929] New: Crash with Steam Big Picture

2016-12-19 Thread Richard K
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373929

Bug ID: 373929
Summary: Crash with Steam Big Picture
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: ric...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Application: plasmashell (5.8.4)

Qt Version: 5.7.0
Frameworks Version: 5.28.0
Operating System: Linux 4.9.0-0-MANJARO x86_64
Distribution: "Manjaro Linux"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed: Opened Steam Big Picture Mode
and ran Rocket League

- Unusual behavior I noticed: I have my monitor and TV mirrored. When I
launched Steam Big Picture it stopped outputing. Then switching to the game
there were some graphical glitches. Game ran fine, got out of it, Plasma panel
was gone and reloaded. Got this promt then.

Also, Manjaro isn't listed as a possible distro ;)

It looks like we have several problems here.
- First of all is probably wrong interprets a username from the imap, so
instead of "al...@test.com" we getting "alice%40test@mail-01.test.com"
- Second one, that "SessionThread::doStartSsl()" fails

I can make a email account to a KDE developer if it helps to debug.

[kdevelop] [Bug 226117] kdevelop seems to sometimes backdate source mtimes, causing files not to be built with make

2016-12-19 Thread Kevin Funk
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226117

So in 2016, the mtime changing apparently still causes issues. We just had a
user in #kdevelop reporting that with KDevelop he constantly needs to rebuild
unchanged code when hacking on the Linux Kernel. This is the only place in
KDevelop that could cause this afaics.

@David: Could this mtime changing code be removed? Any chance you'd be willing
to work on that, after all the years? :)

I don't have a single clue about this part of KDevelop and I'd love to have
someone change it who fully understands what's happening...

[KScreen] [Bug 372557] Plasma/XRandR detects not existing monitor

2016-12-19 Thread Piotr Mierzwinski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372557

I discovered that this issue doesn't happen in kernel 4.8.6 (and in lts), but
in every next it does (including 4.9.0).
In this case I wonder, if this is the real issue of driver (i915) or kscreen
incorrectly interprets output from xrandr, treating eDP1 like next display :-/.

i guess, you cant hide tabs in fullscreen mode, because of the QT framework?
