Summary: Huge repainting periodicity. Or clock does not show me
every second.
   Product: kdelibs
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Here is video -
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kjaJ53ie0LaKz2W7fq_h8A-t3-B5E403pg/view.
Watch for seconds. Digital clock show me every second or third second.

If I force updating/repainting of the area by making KDE show popups,
everything starts to work and every second is shown.
Digital clock start misbehaving, as soon as I leave the area.

Such behaviour occurs after relatively long uptimes. My current uptime is 5
days.

My graphical card is GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST

Can confirm, with the patch the latest code from git compiles and does not
crash when background parser is enabled.

[kmymoney4] [Bug 377368] KMyMoney 4.8 failed to import discover card ofx

2017-03-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377368

Ok, tried a few things and finally settled with one dirty workaround for
myself. Basically changed the code to call a custom python 2 script (which use
httplib to fine control the header order) to send the ofx request first, and if
not succeeded (script return non 0 code) then fallback to original code path.

Obvious this is not good for PR. Just in case anyone is interested

Thanks!
First part is done (but I unfortunately can't find exact commit neither in
yakuake repo, nor in Konsole). Now, Yakuake shows tab title.

But I'd like to hear something about idea of notification format managing from
developers, so I'll leave bug open, if nobody has objections.

[partitionmanager] [Bug 377481] New: Partition Manager sometimes crashes when saving output after FS creation

2017-03-10 Thread Edward Donovan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377481

Bug ID: 377481
Summary: Partition Manager sometimes crashes when saving output
after FS creation
   Product: partitionmanager
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu
  Reporter: kde-b...@numble.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: partitionmanager (2.2.1)

Qt Version: 5.7.1
Frameworks Version: 5.31.0
Operating System: Linux 4.9.13-200.fc25.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I have created new filesystems on a few disks, using Partition Manager today.
After the FS was successfully created, I hit the button to save the output.
Once, this has succeeded. The next two times, after restarting and creating
more fiilesystems on different disks, the application crashed immediately after
hitting the button to save. There was no prompting for a filename, and nothign
was saved.

I'm not sure if this relates: the FSes I created were all on identical 500G
hard drives. Some were Ext4 and some XFS. Crashes happened after one of each
of those. What might have been unusual was that the first runs of FS creation
took several minutes. Later runs took only several seconds. This sounds like
some kind of caching speeding process, but the work was done on new blank disks
each time, so I'm not sure how. I probably don't have all the possibilities in
mind. But I believe it was after the near-instant FS creation runs, that K.P.M
crashed when I asked to save the log.

Thank you. :)

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[dolphin] [Bug 377445] Dolphin Crashes

2017-03-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377445

Would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me how I would report this to the
Mint bugtracker. Also would appreciate it if you could tell me how I can
upgrade to a newer version of Dolphin and/or Plasma. I would like to do so,
but I am an inexperienced Linux user, and from what I gather from reading forum
posts it is not recommended to install things like this outside the recommended
Distro repositories. Would it be safe for me to upgrade to a supported Dolphin
and Plasma version? If so, what would be the recommended version of Dolphin
and Plasma to upgrade to? Thank you

There is a typo in the configure.ac file that causes the HAS_ISA_3_00
variable to not be set.

The check for ISA3.0 is missing the HWCAPS bit for ISA3.0. Also, the
vassert test is wrong.

Git commit e88622395a875b305796d573b44edc8d62f7f79a by Francis Herne.
Committed on 10/03/2017 at 23:25.
Pushed by flherne into branch '5.1'.

CustomBuildSystemConfigWidget: clear configs before reloading.

`loadFrom()` is called on an already-loaded widget when resetting,
for example after choosing "Discard" when changing to another
 config page.
The existing configs must be cleared before loading new ones.

In debug mode, this caused a crash due to a later assertion failure:

Otherwise, duplicate configs seem likely to cause some glitches.

only shows results if I did an online search before and when the search panel
is opened. If I close the search panel it doesn't appear when double clicking
the library. Is that expected behavior or should I open a separate bug?

It's a valid request but I'm not sure how to properly implement this (and if it
is even possible in a Wayland-compatible way). I suspect that KHelpCenter would
need to ask "something" to the window manager, and this should not
KWin-specific. Open to suggestions.

Okular is not an editor by the definition of what Okular wants to be.

> pdf
> editing features would certainly be helpful, as there is no equivalent to
> Acrobat Professional on Linux.

An editor has a totally different workflow than a viewer, in a viewer the "page
view" is the central view, in an editor, the "page list" is the central view so
you can more easily move pages around, etc.

Doing an editor to do this is *extremely* easy with poppler, i had a structure
of it years ago, but a stupid rm deleted it and since i don't really need it
didn't feel like coding it again.

I'm not going to close this bugs as i stepped down as maintainer but my
suggestion is to really start an app from scratch to do this.

Please close bug 377452 and keep bug 377453 instead. 377452 is the old one that
I tried to correct, but the system created a new bug. The description here is
better.
Not displaying existing information that should be displayed is beyond "normal"
in my system as it undermines the trust in the system. This far worse than any
crash.

The bugs as I observed them on Plasma 5.9.3/KDE FWs 5.31.0/Qt 5.7.1:

Steps to reproduce:

1. prepare a laptop, an external monitor and an HDMI cable
2. start up some apps, so that there are some icons on the taskbar
3. connect the external monitor via HDMI
4. close the lid of your laptop
5. observe that the taskbar has now moved from the laptop screen to the
external monitor and is lacking app icons
6. open the lid of your laptop
7. observe that the taskbar is back on the laptop screen, but is still lacking
the app icons and that the external monitor screen lost its wallpaper and is
completely black
9. disconnect the external monitor
10. observe that the taskbar is still missing the app icons

In order to regain the taskbar app icons, one has to either reconnect the
external monitor and move the taskbar to the external monitor screen and back,
or proceed with the steps described here -

[krita] [Bug 377468] isolate GROUP feature

2017-03-10 Thread Karim
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377468

Karim changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||lanaly...@gmail.com

Thanks @Bollebib!

Yes it would be cool to have the possibility to isolate a group of layers while
being able to edit any layer inside the group and see all of them while
editing,

That was the case in Krita 3.0 and earlier, here was my initial thread when I
was thinking it was a bug, I updated the status to "wishlist."
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377442

having it as a additional feature would be very helpful in case anyone needs to
work in relative context of a number of layers, especially if it's line art
without any fill for the whole project: if there are many other groups having
line art, then it would make it very hard to work "in context" of a group of
layers, for a particular character, or any type of asset/sprite etc.

I'm also seeing the "hide all other layers/groups" as a replacement of the
"isolate group of layers" so since it's broken it seems for 3.1.2,
The last time it worked was on krita 2.9.11.0 from what i have tested.

Thanks again for the great new stuff! :)

[krita] [Bug 377442] Isolate layer not working properly on single layers and layer groups

2017-03-10 Thread Karim
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377442

Karim changed:

   What|Removed |Added

   Severity|normal |wishlist

As it turns out, it seems like it's not a bug but just how isolation mode works
currently from krita 3.0.1 to 3.1.2, I'm changing the staus to wishlist
according to the new request by Bollebib: basically hoping for a new feature
for isolating a group of layers while being able to edit separate layers within
the same isolated group (and seeing only those layers not the rest of the
groups in the project and other outside layers)

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377468

Probably fixing the "hide all other layers/ layer groups" could be the solution
too since it's mostly the same need, except some minor special cases maybe.

Thanks!

[plasma-nm] [Bug 377473] New: Plasma-nm doesn't store connection passwords encrypted anymore

2017-03-10 Thread Theresa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377473

Bug ID: 377473
Summary: Plasma-nm doesn't store connection passwords encrypted
anymore
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.8.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: editor
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: rockprinz...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,

I'm currently running kubuntu 16.04.2 with plasma-nm
(4:5.8.5-0ubuntu1~ubuntu16.04~ppa1) and it seems I can no longer store
passwords (WiFi and VPN) in my connect-manager

the only workaround that solves the problem is when I go into Wi-Fi security
and select "Store password and make it available for all users (unencrypted)".
The same thing goes for credentials (password) for VPN connections.

If encrypted it says "Waiting for authorization" until it gives in and says "No
secrets were provided". When I then go into the connection editor there are
really no credentials/password stored. It's empty, although it was there before
I tried to connect.

Syslog says:
Mar 10 20:56:49 herex NetworkManager[970]: [1489175809.8764] device
(wlp58s0): No agents were available for this request.

Mar 10 20:56:49 herex kernel: [ 1492.145831] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP):
wlp58s0: link is not ready

Is there anything else I could check? Why it's no longer working in the
encrypted mode? I feel rather uneasy now :(

cheers,
theresa

I recently had the same issue.
Additionally, when dragging the file, the list of subdirectories popped up (the
one that appears when clicking in a subdirectory name, to select another). But
of course I didn't click anything, as I was holding the button down while
dragging the file.

I notice it :
 - When there are files or directories in the shared folder, I can't don't have
write access to the root of the shared folder.

 - When the shared folder is empty (no files, no folders), then I have write
acces to the root of the shared folder.

 - In subfolders of the shared folder, I almost always have write access.

Thank you

Bug ID: 377471
Summary: 2x Compress to... file => cannot distinguish in

   Product: ark
   Version: 16.12.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org

CC: rthoms...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 104497
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104497=edit
Cannot distinguish the two compression processes

I ran into the following situation:

1) Right click a folder in dolphin -> Compress -> Compress to... -> select
target file

2) Do the same with another target filename and compression format

3) By watching the file sizes of the created archives grow I realized that the
second compression would be quicker than the first one

4) My goal was now to stop the first compression process by using the Stop
button in the Notifications popup, see attached screenshot.

5) Unfortunately, there was no way to figure out which of the two items belong
to which compression process. I chose one at random and it was the wrong one --
somehow I already expected this ;-).

WISH:

1) The "Adding a file" title label could be replaced with "Compressing with
Ark".

2) There could be a subtitle which shows the target filename.

2017-03-10 Thread Martin Gräßlin

> Weird coincidence regarding the rule failure?

I have never seen xprop fail with that message. And normally the rules work ;-)
Given that I don't think it's a coincidence.

[plasma-pa] [Bug 377469] New: Applet pops up when clicking on Audio Volume settings

2017-03-10 Thread BigDaddyLinux
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377469

Bug ID: 377469
Summary: Applet pops up when clicking on Audio Volume settings
   Product: plasma-pa
   Version: 5.9.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: applet
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: bigdaddyont...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

If you right click on the applet in the system tray and open the "Audio Volume
Settings". Once the settings are open, if you click on the "Audio Volume"
section, it actually pops up the applet sound menu on the system tray. Once you
click the "Audio Volume" again it takes you to the actual settings.
It should not affect the applet at all
It should take you to the Audio Volume settings on the first Click
Here is a small video to show you what happens
