Updating has since caught the Plasma version up to the one shown in the boot
screen.

It would be nice if the minor version number boot if displayed on the boot
screen was always in sync with the Plasma version installed.

2017-03-27 Thread Boian Berberov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378182

Bug ID: 378182
Summary: To-do editor still considers start and due times when
changing to all day events
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.4.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Created attachment 104768

Screenshot of error

The Korganizer editor does not allow an event/to-do to be converted to an
all-day event/to-do when the due time occurs before the start time. This
happens occasionally when moving events.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create an event or to-do with a start and end time.
2. Open/Edit the event/to-do.
3. Change the due time to a time before the start time. Sometimes this occurs
after moving/resizing the event by itself, but it's harder to reproduce.
4. Check the "All Day" checkbox.
5. Click "Apply"

Expected results:
The "Apply" should work and the event/to-do times should reset to 00:00.

Actual results:
An error is generated: "The to-do is due before it starts. Please correct
dates and times."

2017-03-27 Thread Horacio Sanson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378155

Just found an interesting behavior with this issue. Dolphin becomes
unresponsive to clicks only when it is in the external screen.

I can still drag the dolphin window between my main (laptop) screen and my
external monitor. If I drag dolphin and put it in the main laptop screen I can
click on any icons/places and everything works as normal.

Once I drag the dolphin window to the external monitor screen I can no longer
click on any icons or places.

It will not for the reasons I literally just stated.

I'm trying to help understand the problem. I'd rather have you work with me
than against.

Pidgin's icon goes purple when there are new messages. I would like to hear
specific issues that affect you, not a random list of untested hypotheticals.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378179

Bug ID: 378179
   Summary: Wacom tablet panel missing
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Packages User Edition
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: ene...@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

It was available with KDE4 and seems to exist in KF5 but isn't packaged:
https://cgit.kde.org/wacomtablet.git?rev=kf5-port
Would be nice to add this, configuring tablet by hand is pretty tedious.

--- Comment #4 from Alan Dacey Sr. ---
Ah, I see now. I renamed the device on my phone and after a reboot the new name
showed on my computer.
I was looking for a way to rename the phone device from my computer. I found
how to rename the computer from the computer.

This isn't in the documentation, at least I don't see it. IMHO this needs
fixing. How do I get involved with the KDE documentation team?

Thanks for your help by the way, Albert!

[kate] [Bug 378178] New: Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right alt key

2017-03-27 Thread Jakub Macháček
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378178

Bug ID: 378178
Summary: Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right
alt key
   Product: kate
   Version: 16.04
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: part
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: jakub.macha...@nejremeslnici.cz
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 104767
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104767=edit
xkb definition file for modified Programmer Dvorak layout

Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right alt key. I have attached
an example of a custom keyboard that doesn't work properly in Kate. Kate
ignores all the following:
Left, Right, Up, Down, BackSpace, Home, End, nobreakspace (and probably a lot
more)

According to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-36565 this used to be an
issue in Qt but it should now be fixed. As stated by Igor Kushnir, this is
probably a bug in Kate. A clear explanation on why it is not working can be
found here:
https://superuser.com/questions/801611/how-to-make-all-applications-respect-my-modified-xkb-layout/844673
.

I have spent considerable amount of time searching for suitable workarounds but
none worked with the right alt key.

This bug is not present in Kate 3.13.3 but it is present in 16.04.3. I'm not
sure about other versions.

The bug is extremely annoying, considering you have to move your right hand
away from its standard position just to move the cursor. I tried to create my
own keyboard shortcuts to fix the problem but Kate doesn't accept any
combination that includes the right alt key (it's just ignored).

[krita] [Bug 378175] New: Render deletes all files in destination

2017-03-27 Thread David
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378175

Bug ID: 378175
Summary: Render deletes all files in destination
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Animation
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rylle...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When rendering animation to an existing path with already rendered frames in it
those are all deleted when you are rendering to the same filenames.

This means you cannot easily rerender just a few frames of your animation, say
fr.5-10 of a 250fr sequence. All 250 is deleted and replaced by 5-10...

Desired behaviour would be to delete only those frames which are rerendered.

Nice work David, thanks!

I've cherry-picked the patch for Mageia's plasma-workspace 5.8.6 package, we
will report back once it has been tested.

Note that you should probably edit the CMakeLists.txt to make XTest/xtst a
required dependency, otherwise plasma-workspace fails building:

4.6.6 is pretty old, and the issue of the label of that field being wrong, even
though KMM actually handled the value correctly, has been fixed in a more
recent verion. Let us know it this is still a problem in 4.8.

Create an empty file ofx.log in your home directory. If that file exists, then
everything returned by the OFX interaction will be put in that file. Be
careful, it will contain username and password.

Minor question - are you sure the account you are mapping SHOULD show up? Some
institutions require some specific setup before they allow OFX downloads. Some
even require a fee, even though it is uncommon.

Another unlikely possibility - what is the account type at the institution (and
what other account types do you have there) and what type of KMM account are
you trying to match?

Final question for now, why do you need manual setup? Is the institution not
on the list that is presented for automatic connection?

[plasmashell] [Bug 378032] Remember history of notifications like on KDE4

2017-03-27 Thread Ural
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032

The list of problematic apps may be big. Devs didn't implemented 'persistent'
by spec, because in KDE4 all was persistent. Someone use Evolution, someone
Claws Mail, Thunderbird, qTox, uTox, toxic, pidgin, etc.

So just adding a checkbox per app 'Persist notifications' will solve the issue.
You can check thunderbird, qTox or any other app and be happy. And don't wait
while developers will implement 'persistent' notifications by spec.

It may be also be useful to temporary remember history of missed notifications
while away or fullscreen

Let me try to understand it better. This ioctl sets the LNBf voltage

to what's there at "val". If zero, it sets to 13V; otherwise to 18V:
   if (ioctl (d->frontend, FE_ENABLE_HIGH_LNB_VOLTAGE, ) < 0 && val)

You're saying that exiting just after setting the voltage and running Kaffeine
will make it work?

If so, it seems that either the LNBf settings are wrong in Kaffeine, or the
channel settings are wrong. That could happen, for example, if the Kaffeine's
scanfile.dvb definitions for a channel says that it is horizontal, but the
channel is, in fact vertical.

What channels are falling? What's your LNBf?

switching that information on the BZ.

Kaffeine 1.3 and 2.0.x don't use libxine anymore, due to lots of issues on it.

Btw, we're not maintaining Kaffeine 1.x upstream anymore.

Whenever this happens it takes 20 - 30 minutes to become useful again.
Sometimes after syncing, it filters mail, and suddenly it detects an
inconsistency and refetches the whole mail box again. Could it be a threading
problem where the filter moves mail without updating the count? The reason I
ask is the problem seems to also coincide with:

[plasmashell] [Bug 378168] New: Automatically disappearing Panels don't show up again after some time

2017-03-27 Thread Maximilian Böhm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378168

Bug ID: 378168
Summary: Automatically disappearing Panels don't show up again
after some time
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.9.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@elbmurf.de
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I have a side panel that frequently does not show up when I'm hovering the
mouse on the screen border. The panel is configured to automatically disappear.
It works flawlessly with new sessions but with older sessions – I can't say
what is triggering this – suddenly it just stops appearing again. The only
workaround to get it show up again is to open the monitor settings and to
switching the primary screen from none to this one (I have just one monitor).
This annoying behaviour is nothing new, I've had this with any Plasma 5
release.

it would be convenient to have a second address field to add address complement

for example :

Pierre RICHARD
Batiment A Escalier 5
2 rue du Soleil
75013 PARIS

or
Renault Bruges
Avenue de la Jalle Noire
ZI de Campilleau
33520 BRUGES

Confirmed. I wonder why Qt doesn't show abbreviated names for them (like Mon,
