My problem was that Baloo did not find files more than about a year old. 
Disabling and Enabling cured it.

The menu bar was indeed not shifted up (it cut off the brush name too) but
switching it to ANGLE solved the problem, thanks!

Is the menu bar not shifted up? This doesn't look like the Intel driver bug...
Please try switching the renderer to ANGLE or even disable Graphics
Acceleration from the Krita display settings.

Do you have different DPI scaling configured for different monitors? What are
their resolutions?

Slider is chopped off. Appears this way at all window sizes.

The zoom slider at the bottom is barely visible. There is no way to resize it
to show the full slider; the slider just stays (unusably) aligned with the
lower edge of the window, including when the program is fullscreen. As such, I
can't zoom with the slider.

This applies only to my Cintiq 13HD; the zoom slider is visible and usable on
my main monitor (Windows 10).

After an update to 17.08.1 dolphin and konqueror started replacing all
non-latin letters in filenames (but NOT in its own interface) with
'�'-characters. And it gives out false filenames with these characters to apps
on "opening" them, so they can't actually find the file. Changes to LC_* do
nothing.

dolphin's log says only:
kf5.kio.core: Refilling KProtocolInfoFactory cache in the hope to find "stash"
Trying to convert empty KLocalizedString to QString.
qt.accessibility.core: Cannot create accessible child interface for object: 
PlacesView(0x562c3ebdead0)  index:  32
QLayout: Attempting to add QLayout "" to PhononWidget "", which already has a
layout

Like it's not enough that update just before that one broke konqueror's session
loading from command line which could have been used with custom desktop-files
to compensate for the lack of automatic session save/restore and update of
krusader to Qt5 before that one have broken all of its icons for files making
their types indistinguishable by eye. Now I'm done to pcmanfm-qt & mc as FMs.
And you're not going to fix that like you've done for the last 5 years so I
don't know why I'm even writing these anymore. And, apparently, running kate as
root is forbidden now by The Computer Gods or something, yeah. Now there is
only gwenview/kipi & yakuake/konsole-part left to break and KDE can go straight
to a garbage pile in hell.

Unfortunately support needs to be added upstream, to poppler. That is tracked
by https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14265

It would also help if EU forms didn't deliberately break support for
non-Acrobat readers. Although given their heavy use of poorly-documented
proprietary extensions that only Acrobat can read properly, it's not hard to
see why. :(

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Save a file in any KDE program in a way that triggers the Save dialog
2. Modify the filename to your liking
3. Navigate to the location that you want to save the file to, either using the
places panel or the main navigation view
4. Hit the return or enter key


EXPECTED RESULTS:
 The return or enter key triggers the Save button and dismisses the dialog


ACTUAL RESULTS:
Nothing happens.


REPRODUCIBILITY
The enter/return keys only seem to trigger the Save button when the text field
has focus.

Still a problem in up-to-date KDE Neon and when on git master.

Using the selection text color from the theme would definitely work, but might
look ugly, like we're mangling the presentation of the document. Maybe instead
when the text is dark, we could impose a certain amount of lightness on the
selection background, to ensure that it's always readable.

I set up Kmail and my address book for the first time syncing with my google
contacts. I added a contact to the address book.  When I selected it from
within Kmail, Kmail crashed.  When I removed the new address from the address
book, I could select any existing address from Kmail without crashing.  The
problem also happens from adding a contact from the context menu on the senders
address of a received email.

GMT roughly matches UTC.
We are in GMT in winter, BST in summer.

LMT stands for Local Mean Time which is the time zone in wherever you currently
are. 

Any applied timezone will append (LMT).

Cutdown screenshot: Date and time config module with wrong TZ name shown.

Reporting that the timezone shown for Europe/London in the list of selectable
timezones is given incorrectly.  This is a minor error in text;

Europe/London is Greenwich Mean Time or GMT.  In the list, it is shown as LMT. 
Simply a typo.

I've attached a screenshot of where the error is visible.

If anything he added one additional piece of information that this may occur on
sddm session post the first one. If you look at the original report is a bout
sddm and the user (myself) had been using this machine for quite some time, but
after an update this occurred.

Therefore the new report of it only occurring after the second login post
switching to sddm is simply a new bit of information that does not contradict
the previous information.

>From the other report this problem can also occur outside of sddm. Again these
are additive facts that point to one problem...not different bugs.

I've been having a problem with the swap filling up, bringing the system to a
halt Neon 5.10.5. I finally tracked it down to setting the desktop wallpaper to
slideshow. I have tested this on two different laptops with the exact same
results.

https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/windows:mingw:win32 and

Fridrich Strba from SUSE.

Antergos uses LightDM instead of SDDM, so I switched over to SDDM to get the
log file. To my surprise, the first login was as fast as with only one monitor
– but the second login was slow again, a third after a reboot still.
Look for the xorg-session.log.

This is the tarball for the windows builds (it has a .7z extension) and because
KMymoney 4.8.1 on Windows currently use online documentation only the
application related translations are included.

I have turned the API on and did the tablet driver thing. I still cannot do

Thanks, me too! And thanks for cleaning up some of my messes when triaging
bugs. I'll get better over time.

Judging by past experience with previous goal-directed hobbies, you should have
my full-time attention for about 2 years. After that I'll burn out if I either
feel like I'm not making progress, or lose interest if I've achieved the goal I
set out to achieve (Improving KDE software's use cases for regular people such
that I can switch my mother from her Mac and not have it be a support
nightmare). Assuming I'm still making progress and the goal hasn't been
achieved yet, I may just keep working on this stuff for a long time. :)

FWIW, you guys have been amazingly more patient and welcoming than the GNOME
folks were when I first tried to jump on board their train. It's a pleasure to
work together on this project.

The Gtk/PrimaryButtonWarpsSlider setting is currently hard-coded to "1" with
the comment /* KDE always warps pointer on mouse click */. There are two
problems with this. The first is that the setting should be 0, not 1, to better
emulate KDE. The 1 setting causes "scroll to the click position" behaviour,
which is not what KDE does (see
https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/GtkSettings.html#GtkSettings--gtk-primary-button-warps-slider).
If it has to be hard-coded, the value should be 0. The second is that this
setting is now settable in the KDE settings tool under System Settings >
Application Style > GNOME Application Style (GTK), 'Left mouse button warps
scrollbar' and should therefore follow that setting.

I have send a second screen shot of a second tab yesterday. You can easily set
your resolution lower e.g.to resolution 1366x786 (the 786 (height) is the
problem) to check how the akonadiconsole looks then, but I cannot set it higher
on my laptops as the video card does not support any higher resolutions. If
there is any problem let me know what other screenshot (from which tabs) you
want and I will supply then.

I did test that exact fragment in Kate when I filed the bug. However, when I
try to reproduce it now, Kate doesn't indent the third line. So there must be
some yet unknown factor that makes this bad indentation trigger.

I created the fragment inside the larger source file that I was editing at that
moment, so it is possible either the context is relevant or some unseen state
in Kate matters.

The indent happened when I typed the '+', so not one of the letters mentioned
in the other bug.

I expect the problem will occur again, since it wasn't the first time it
happened when I filed the bug. When it does, I'll try to figure out what is
relevant about the context or state to be able to reproduce this.
