I used to think that setting the parameter to 40 is not to blur and setting it
to less that 40 is to sharpen it, but in fact setting the parameter to 0 is not
to blur and setting it to 40 is to blur a little.
In order not to mislead others, please set the default value of Blur to 0.

Thanks.

Shows finder window with external HD, digikam window without.

Trying to get set up on digikam 5.7.0 on OSX 10.11.6.

Going to add my photos folder on my external drive; it's there and accessible
via Mac Finder, but digikam interface does not show the external drive.

This is supported according to the documentation (collections on removeable
drives) - perhaps I am missing something simple?

Thanks!

I just noticed that switching from "German (Austria)" to "German (Neo 2)"
instantly makes neo 2 lessons available.
Switching back during one of these tells me "No visualization available for
your keyboard layout."
It seems like my customized German layout was at fault.
Among other things, I changed [ä] to } and [alt-gr]+[}] to ä.

Adding a hint at the start of the program would be appreciated.

After starting ktouch and creating a profile for the first time, I can't select

A non-blank page, displaying blank in Okular

Credit card PDF statements from Chase Bank (www.chase.com) display mostly or
entirely blank when viewed in Okular as supplied in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Okular
0.24.2). Attached is a screenshot of a typical statement, which should be full
of text but the text is all missing.

Sorry I can't include an actual statement due to privacy. But maybe somebody on
the dev team has a Chase credit card...?

Adobe Reader and Evince display the statements just fine.

Python 3.6 includes the option to use underscores as numeric separators to make
numbers more readable. (PEP 515 -> https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0515/)
This isn't supported yet and the syntax highlighting breaks after the first
underscore.

num = 1_000_000

Today build and install Elisa from here:

>From previous experience I know that tracebacks made on Arch-like systems are

If I run elisa from the terminal I get the following output (intentionally I
removed the lines where the music library is loaded):

Thanks for the timely reply. Just double-checked and now I see where the
problem lies.

I originally reported the wrong currency as I was testing expenses in (too
many) multiple currencies. This actually manifests with IRR currency (and the
Groceries:IRR expense category), not BAM.
Digging deeper, I see that the reason is the exchange rate. It is originally
1/1 with EUR. However, BAM has the correct exchange rate.
Now I tried another case in HRK and I see that the initial exchange rate is 1/1
when creating a cash account.
It is very possible that I mixed currencies while testing and then got to the
wrong conclusion. I have also updated to 4.8.1 in the meantime.

It's crazy. I can not install ark-dbg because the old version is requested - so
the 15.12.3. Now I have uninstalled and reinstalled ark. Now version 15.12.3 is
installed, which works without problems. Unfortunately, an update is now
available again on version 16.04.3a in the update management. Is the error
perhaps in the package sources?
I have now set the update of the program to ignore ark to keep the working
version active.
The appended file is the crashtext. As I said, the debug packages I could not
install.
Sorry for the Bad English. Google has translated ;-)

2017-10-05 Thread Jarosław Staniek

Bug ID: 385417
Summary: Queries do not work as lookup fields for tables
   Product: kexi

  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tables
  Assignee: kexi-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: stan...@kde.org
CC: a...@piggz.co.uk, in...@fables.co.za
  Target Milestone: ---

Table designer allows to specify tables or queries for data of lookup fields.
But queries do not work.

1. Create a table design in Table Designer with a number of columns, let one
them, called F, have integer type
2. Add one or more records to the table
3. Switch back to the Designer
4. Assign a working query (non-empty) to the lookup field of F
5. Save the design and switch to data view

Actual result: no records are displayed at all even when the table had records
in added in step 2.

Expected: Combo boxes work in the field F with lookups defined, any data change
in field F is saved properly and restored in next session.

I'am on Kubuntu 17.04 with a Tuxedo i7, 16GB RAM and SSD for editing "HDV 1080p
50"

I worked on a project for weeks without any problems. Yesterday i did an normal
Kubuntu upgrade. Unfortunately i'm not sure which packages where changed :-(

When i restarted the laptop today i could not work any longer on kdenlive
because every video playback is incredibly slow and it is stuttering!

I already tried playing the same video files via ffplay which works fine!

I also tried updating to kdenlive-stable PPA (17.04.3) but that does not help.

Any idea what could be wrong and howto workaround, please?

When new messages are received, the folder into which the message is delivered
is not updated to display the number of unread messages in that folder, and the
tray counter does not update either. This behavior happens nearly all of the
time, but sometimes it does work. Note: I use filters for all incoming
messages; all are filtered into their assigned folder. I have 3 email accounts
all using gmail POP, and 39 filters with corresponding folders.

Crash log after login

After installing Kubuntu 17.10 beta2 I keep on receiving Dolphin crashes at
login. Before installing Kubuntu I had Debian Buster/Testing installed. I did
not wipe the /home partition during the installation. Could be a configuration
error. After restarting Dolphin, I don't encounter any issues (no crash, no
black screen, no anything; it just works). This happens only after login (I
always get this crash).

[frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 384404] Kate and KWrite both crash when editing a Javascript or CSS file

2017-10-05 Thread RJVB

For anyone else affected by this: I've attached a patch that reverts
KTextEditor to use QtScript here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385413 .

Tweaking the function that triggers the bug would be more elegant of course,
fixing older Qt versions even more (but hopeless as far as I can tell).

[frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 385413] New: introduce a build option to use QtScript instead of QtQML because of #384404

2017-10-05 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385413

Bug ID: 385413
Summary: introduce a build option to use QtScript instead of
QtQML because of #384404
   Product: frameworks-ktexteditor
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rjvber...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 108193
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108193=edit
combined revert of commits #fc510adaecf1dc83416eaf4392925ee4f3c5a1e0 and
#878797830dbd3b29bd5dcd8241c17ea20fb6914e (in that order).

The migration from QtScript to QtQML triggered a bug in QtQML versions < 5.9.x
which causes a severe regression for anyone who cannot upgrade to a Qt version
in which the issue has been fixed. I'm thinking of certain Mac users in
particular: Qt 5.9 runs only on 10.10 and newer, locking in certain Mac ranges
to 5.8 or earlier.

In short, the QtScript or QtQML question is akin to QtWebKit or QtWebEngine,
and merits a build option to make KTextEditor build against QtScript - if there
is no way to work around the issue in a less invasive way like tweaking the
function called when hitting Enter and that triggers the crash.

In the meantime affected users can apply the attached patch (applies cleanly to
5.38.0 and git/master).

[frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 385398] kdevelop : crash after hitting enter in code editor

2017-10-05 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385398

Yeah, that was my null hypothesis too, but I was kind of hoping it'd be wrong.

This irks me, I cannot help but feel that it ought to be possible to tweak the
"incriminated" QML function so that it doesn't trigger the bug. I'd tinker with
that, but don't have an inkling where even to start.

I'm now figuring out a patch that will revert KTextEdit to something that works
with Qt 5.7 and 5.8, in hopes it'll be useful for others too. It seems one just
has to revert #fc510adaecf1dc83416eaf4392925ee4f3c5a1e0 and then
#878797830dbd3b29bd5dcd8241c17ea20fb6914e ... crossing fingers, toes and eyes
they'll keep applying (mostly) cleanly until I get to update to Qt 5.9 .

Git commit c9583d1562353662fc46e077786b8590eaa5ad08 by Wolthera van Hövell tot
Westerflier.
Committed on 05/10/2017 at 18:40.
Pushed by woltherav into branch 'master'.

Feature: Height to normal map filter.

This adds a height to normal map filter to Krita.

The filter is based on the edge detection filter, so like it, it
can do prewitt, sobol and simple, as well as have a editable kernel
radius(which controls how strong the effect of a height difference is in the
resulting normal map), and it can be used as a filter layer/mask/brush.

The most common used method is sobol with a single px radius, which is also
the default it open up on.

Summary: Wishlist: Adapt present windows desktop effect to work
as alt tab.
   Product: kwin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-tabbox
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: jon...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

My idea is to have a tab effect identical to "present windows" hotcorner
effect, where pressing alt+tab and holding alt would bring up the effect and
each subsequent tab would cycle through each window from left to right and up
to down. Letting go of the alt key would select the highlighted window, so it
should work identically to normal alt+tab.

Git commit 31b5b7f9f981ccaca001423c1a2183157bb53356 by Martin Flöser.
Committed on 05/10/2017 at 17:34.
Pushed by graesslin into branch 'Plasma/5.11'.

Ensure internal Wayland connection is properly setup before creating LockScreen
integration

With the new Wayland only mode we start too fast and it can happen that
the initWithWorkspace is called before the client connection is fully
setup. This would result in a crash in the idletime plugin once it tries
to create a seat.

To prevent this problem the code is split out into a dedicated method
and only invoked if all interfaces have been announced on the internal
connection.
FIXED-IN: 5.11.1

OK, please report a bug on Launchpad indicating that the audiocd-kio package
with a version greater than or equal to 16.12 is required as a dependency for
Dolphin.

If that dependency cannot be satisfied because the version of Dolphin available
in Ubuntu 16.04 is too old, than I'm afraid your options are limited to
upgrading to a newer version of Ubuntu, using the KDE Backports PPA, or
compiling Dolphin from source.

This is almost certainly an issue with upstream Bluetooth code, but there's not
enough information in this bug to triage it and know for sure. At the minimum
we need to know:

1. Linux distro and version
4. Does your bluetooth device show up on other machines?
2. Does this also fail on the same machine when using other distros or OSs?
3. Does this also fail on the same machine with non-KDE bluetooth tools?
