[kwin] [Bug 386539] New: Task switcher groups application in a different way than task manager
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386539 Bug ID: 386539 Summary: Task switcher groups application in a different way than task manager Product: kwin Version: 5.11.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: tabbox Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: golu3...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- So, I have "Alt + `" mapped to switch between different windows of the current application in Task Switcher settings. Here, I have noticed some difference between how the Task Manager groups applications and what the Task Switcher considers to be windows of the same application. One specific way in which this is noticeable is using Chrome apps. Different chrome apps behave as different applications as far as the Task Manager is concerned, but the task manager considers them all as same application. Steps to reproduce: 0. Enable "Alt + `" shortcut for switching between windows of current application in Task Switcher settings. 1. Add application shortcuts for some chrome apps. 2. Open chrome, and open some chrome apps using the application launcher. Notice that they appear as different applications in Task Manager. 3. With chrome as the active window, press "Alt + `" several times. What happens: The Task Switcher will cycle through all open chrome windows, including the ones from different chrome apps. Expected behaviour: Chrome and different chrome apps should be isolated from each other in Task Swither, as they are in the Task Manager. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 05/11/2017 at 02:51. Pushed by ngraham into branch 'Applications/17.08'. Workaround incorrectly returned EEXIST instead of EPERM regression introduced by libsmbclient 4.7 Summary: There appears to be an issue with libsmbclient 4.7 that returns nonsensical EEXIST error code when a user has not authenticated themselves to access password-protected shares. This patch attempts to work around the issue by treating EEXIST as another case of "invalid login credentials". The workaround tries to detect broken versions of libsmbclient and enables itself only when such a version is found. See https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13050 for upstream bug report. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386537 Bug ID: 386537 Summary: transparency slider for perspektive grid and rulers Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Tool/Assistants Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kasaspriga...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hello, I've just noticed that the rulers and perspective grids are always on top of the drawings which can be a bit confusing especially if you use a lot of them. A easy solution for this problem could be a simple transparency slider for these tools to make them less dominant on the canvas. Another but more complicated solution could be a special layer for perspective grids, rulers and guidelines. This solution is used in some vector graphic and desktop publishing programs. The advantage of this is that it's possible to draw over the guidelines if you put a normal paint layer on top. You could also put them between some layers. So can have your guidelines over the background of your image but under some other layers you are currently working on. Also you can enable or disable the visibility of entire rulers/perspective grid groups with the layer manager. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[partitionmanager] [Bug 259678] Partitionmanager should not require root privileges to start.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259678 Andrius Štikonas changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |ASSIGNED --- Comment #17 from Andrius Štikonas --- Another update: I've got significant parts of KDE Partition Manager running without root privileges and using KAuth. For now the code is still in my scratch repository at https://git.stikonas.eu/andrius/kpmcore/src/kauth but eventually it should reach git master. At the moment not everything works. Sfdisk backend does not yet support creating new partition tables or changing partition types. There are also a few more places in KPM that don't work without root. But maybe 90% of functionality is there! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdevelop] [Bug 386388] kdevelop crash when opening a project containing javascript files [GccLikeCompiler::includes]

[kdevelop] [Bug 386388] kdevelop crash when opening a project containing javascript files [GccLikeCompiler::includes]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386388 --- Comment #6 from Aaron Puchert --- Another solution would be to ignore files of type `Utils::Other` in CompilerProvider::includes/defines. The entire design is a bit problematic, because the QmlJS plugin asks the DefinesAndIncludesManager for include directories, but that manager is somehow tied to the idea of using the configured compiler (GCC/Clang/MSVC) to provide additional includes and defines. However, the configured compiler is obviously only used for C/C++ and similar languages, not QmlJS. Before this change, the standard include directories for GCC/Clang (/usr/include and so on) were used to parse QmlJS files, which I guess is not intended. [plasmashell] [Bug 386530] New: Unreal Engine Menus Lag/Slow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386530 Bug ID: 386530 Summary: Unreal Engine Menus Lag/Slow Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: kyria...@mypcrevolution.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 The Unreal Editor menus are very slow,it looks like the menus are lagging, it takes around 3-6 sec to move from one menu to another. The FPS from 120 goes down to 20-0 FPS and freezes if I am moving the mouse a bit quickly around the menus. (I am using Plasma with a high end pc, Nvidia 1080Ti and AMD Threadripper 1950x) I tested also Unity Engine and is working fine a bit of lag there as well but is unnoticed. With another DE (tested MATE) is working fine no delays and not lag at all. I have posted this problem to unreal engine forums but I guess this has to do with KDE since in other Desktop Environments is working fine. cheers K -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386388 Aaron Puchert changed: What|Removed |Added CC||aaronpuch...@alice-dsl.net --- Comment #5 from Aaron Puchert --- I think we need to restrict to project-specific and user-defined includes in the constructor QmlJsParseJob::QmlJsParseJob. So replace IDefinesAndIncludesManager::manager()->includes(...) by IDefinesAndIncludesManager::manager()->includes(..., IDefinesAndIncludesManager::ProjectSpecific | IDefinesAndIncludesManager::UserDefined) The compiler-specific includes only make sense if we actually have a compiler backend that can provide them. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349402 Holger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||h.kl...@gmx.de --- Comment #8 from Holger --- My usage is often to only compare two images. So a limit of 6 is fine for me. Especially for the split in half version, I'd love to see a possibility to toggle the split from vertical to horizontal, e.g. panorama pictures tend to be fairly wide and comparing two of them will result in a single row in the middle of the screen with a lot of wasted space above and below. Maybe you could test both layouts and choose the one with maximum overall zoom level when fitting each picture to its respective box. In addition, comparing a landscape picture to a portrait, the divider doesn't have to be exactly in the middle. The landscape will require as much width as possible, while the portrait can't take advantage of the width, once it touches the upper/lower edges. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The problems seems to be that Gwenview does not a have clear separation between selection and focus like e.g. Dolphin has. I've seen this too occasionally (tested with 17.08.2), but it is very hard to reproduce even with the instructions you are providing. Could you share what you are doing exactly so this occurs "pretty reliably" for you? Maybe this needs a special directory layout, number of images, file types, image resolutions, keystroke sequences? If you are able to find a way to reproduce, a zip-file of the directory structure + a list of keystrokes or even a video/screencast from application start to bug occurrence would be helpful for developers looking into this. I doubt that it is related, but note there is also https://phabricator.kde.org/D8196, so you might want to retest with Gwenview 17.12 once released (or compile from git, if you know how to). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
