[kmymoney] [Bug 387280] Make 4.8.2 release
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387280 Jackchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||ostroffjh@users.sourceforge ||.net --- Comment #1 from Jack --- Is it possible to check the timestamp of the files to compare the translation to the original? How do the automated tools determine whether a translation is up to date, or am I wrong in thinking that proces is automated? I have not looked at what other applications do, but this issue of not all docbook files having releaseinfo the same as the released version has been the case with KMyMoney for a long time, and I don't remember anyone complaining or questioning it. In order to update those values, someone will have to carefully read each docbook file, and determine whether or not it will need any changes to reflect the behavior of the program in the current release (in this case 4.8.2). If the file does not require any changes, then it is OK to update the releaseinfo value. As I would prefer to spend the little time I have available to make the 5.0 documentation ready, I am not willing to spend the time on this task. However, if someone else determines that a docbook file does not accurately reflect 4.8.2, then I am willing to update the file as necessary. The 4.8.x series has a limited lifetime, and I think most of the developers, and even the users, would prefer to get 5.0 released as soon as possible, even if it means missing some translations for 4.8.2. Also, even if 4.8.2 is released with incomplete translations, as translations are completed after the release, they will be available in the online docs, and I am willing to make a note to that effect in the introduction section of the manual, and we could also repeat it on the main web page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 387273] rotating a widescreen resolution should rotate the half-screen tiling snap
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387273 --- Comment #3 from Harald Sitter--- I was assuming you'd at least know the (rotated) screen resolution. The way I see it you would need to `if maxX>=maxY then splitHorizontal else splitVertical` and the split would always yield smart space usage. The fact that the screen is rotated doesn't really matter in the end, you only need to know the "aspect orientation", for lack of a better word, and that can easily be checked through the resolution. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59960 Henrik Fehlauerchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rk...@lab12.net Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #4 from Henrik Fehlauer --- I doubt we should make space for those buttons in the default toolbar. It should be expected that almost every PDF is already rotated correctly. This holds even for those originating from scans, where the scanner application should allow to rotate when creating the PDF (e.g. Simple Scan makes this very easy). As since 14 years there weren't that many complaints, having the action in the menu and allowing to add the button to the toolbar should be enough. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 334297] Highlighter of the review tool does not work correct in rotated views of the pdf document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334297 Henrik Fehlauerchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rk...@lab12.net --- Comment #1 from Henrik Fehlauer --- FWIW, this is still a problem as of KDE Applications 17.11.80 and Poppler 0.61. Note: - You get the lense-shaped object only for 90°/270° rotation and normal/horizontal text. - For 180° rotation the highlighting is simply rotated by 180° relative to the page. - For 90°/270° rotation the rotated grey text on the side in http://arxiv.org/pdf/1203.0690 is not lense-shaped, but rotated by 90°/270°. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 300400] searching for text in rotated content doesn't work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300400 Henrik Fehlauerchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rk...@lab12.net --- Comment #4 from Henrik Fehlauer --- FWIW, this is still a problem as of KDE Applications 17.11.80 and Poppler 0.61. See also Bug 338563, which concerns the selection/copying problem. However, note that simply fixing this bug won't be enough, we would also need to strip a varying amount of whitespace/linebreaks. This can be seen by creating a PDF in Inkscape that contains text fragments, each rotated in different multiples of 10°, and then pasting the copied text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 387247] okular [12.17beta] crash upon highlighting text in pdfs

[kdevplatform] [Bug 387238] concurrent project directory reloading
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387238 --- Comment #4 from RJVB--- Created attachment 109045 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=109045=edit pseudo-patch to catch concurrent reloads With this in place, I see - frequent if not systematic concurrent reloads during session startup - multiple concurrent reloads running configure in an autoconf project (codeblocks) open in KDevelop (in-tree build): see the next attachment. The frequency increases when using the alternative dirwatching model which only puts watches on directories. I think the fix should be relatively trivial, along these lines: - add a new private method eventuallyStartListJob(project, item, newjob) - this method scans the current project job list *starting at the end* until it encounters a job that queues a reload for the given project item. - if a hit is found, connect that job's finished signal to the new job's start method - else, start the new job - this new method replaces all direct calls to job->start() The it might be safe to abort all jobs that have job->item()==item ; this would certainly speed up the final reload. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I run my application in debug mode. I filtered "Debug view" and wanted to check something in result of searching, so in "Find/Replace in Files" view. Surprisingly this view was empty, only in combobox I had couple items related with my searched strings. So now what? I need to find one more time what I searched earlier? Why? I wonder why these views are duplicated (objects) in every mode. I think "debug mode" has its own and "normal mode" also has its own. Is not it a waste of memory? A word about similar bug. Sometime ago I met similar situation with settings of key shortcuts - I reported this as bug 354430, where in debug mode were one set of shortcuts and in normal mode different. [krita] [Bug 386726] Brush engine crashes when switching smoothing options while drawing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386726 --- Comment #9 from Nicholas LaPointe--- (In reply to Isaac from comment #8) > I read your first comment then the second one, is there a workaround for > this, or do I just have to stop the current brushstroke, change the > stabilizer (1,2,3, or 4), then start again? Yes, I think you will have to wait, perhaps until the brushstroke has fully finished drawing on the screen, then start again. > Also, I'd like to ask is this something that's still being looked into, or > has it been confirmed that this is just simply how the program is? I marked the bug as "confirmed," and the list of bugs marked that way could be considered a kind of to-do list. I don't have the knowledge to fix it myself, but it may get fixed at any time by someone who does. The good thing is that it doesn't crash only for you, so it should be a little easier for them to study what's wrong. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 387276] New: Selected color in toolbar color selector may not match current color
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387276 Bug ID: 387276 Summary: Selected color in toolbar color selector may not match current color Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: color selectors Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: nicholaslapoin...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- 1. Change current foreground color by swirling the mouse around within the Advanced Color Selector triangle 2. Click on foreground color in toolbar color selector (between the patterns and brush settings) The current/previous color swatches may not match, and the selected color will switch. This process may need to be repeated several times before it will happen. It usually seems as if the color it thinks is current (left swatch) is one that the mouse probably rolled over before settling down in step 1. It also occurs in 3.3.2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
