I've just tested the reply-to-all in Kmail 5.5.3 and I now see a reply to both
the to: as well as the list-post: address. My apologies for not reacting
sooner. This bug can be closed.

[kstars] [Bug 389738] New: .esq files can't be run again by scheduler if prior captures exist

2018-01-31 Thread schwim
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389738

Bug ID: 389738
Summary: .esq files can't be run again by scheduler if prior
captures exist
   Product: kstars
   Version: 2.9.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
  Reporter: sch...@bitrail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 110276
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=110276=edit
Example .esq file

Confirmed in latest pull as of 31 Jan 2018. I think this goes back to prior
releases.

If an .esq file is run more than once by the scheduler the first job is
successful but all subsequent jobs quit stating they are already complete. The
scheduler log window shows the job "in progress" then immediately shows
"Complete".

The debug logs show:

[2018-02-01T00:19:57.275 MST DEBG ][ org.kde.kstars.ekos.capture] - Preparing
capture job "Light_L_60_secs_ISO8601" for execution.
[2018-02-01T00:19:57.275 MST DEBG ][ org.kde.kstars.ekos.capture] - Job
"Light_L_60_secs_ISO8601" already complete.
[2018-02-01T00:19:57.275 MST DEBG ][ org.kde.kstars.ekos.capture] - All
capture jobs complete.

If the original output fits files are deleted, the job can be run again.

[Discover] [Bug 389685] plasma-discover crashes at the end when it should show update done.

2018-01-31 Thread Patrick
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389685

Thanks very much for the answer.
I'm using plasma-discover coming with kubuntu xenial.
I tried to reinstall via synaptic ! But it is still 5.8.8

when I do "apt-get install plasma-discover" it tells me that 5.8.8 is the last
version !
patrick@pc-patrick:~$ sudo apt-get install plasma-discover
Lecture des listes de paquets... Fait
Construction de l'arbre des dépendances
Lecture des informations d'état... Fait
plasma-discover est déjà la version la plus récente
(5.8.8-0ubuntu1~ubuntu16.04~ppa1).

How could I upgrade to 5.11.x ?
Is there any special repository to add ?
I didn't find via google !
And why plasma-discover doesn't upgrade itself ?

regards
Patrick

Crash in old 5.8.x LTS version. Any chance you can upgrade to 5.11.x? We've
done a lot of stability work since then. And the 5.12 LTS is just around the
corner, too.

Fix oauth focus

Summary:
Set the focus to the webview. Previously, if you entered an e-mail address
and pressed enter, it would have closed the webview, because the cancel button
is the default button. I think this is a QT bug, so I opened a QT bugreport.

Test Plan:
- In KMail, the focus works now
- In KOrganizer, the focus works now

This bug is quite old now ... I am not sure if I get the bug right. Does "copy
files over 16GB" mean one file with this size or a bunch of files with a total
size of >= 16 GB? If it would be the last case then I can say that I don't have
any problems nowadays and I copy a lot from smb shares to my attached drives.

Hi there, is video playback the only area this happens? What GPU do you have,
which driver are you using for it? Anything in dmesg after these crashes?

[dolphin] [Bug 389735] New: Make panels behave like dynamic containers which can be filled with different models

2018-01-31 Thread Marijo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389735

Bug ID: 389735
Summary: Make panels behave like dynamic containers which can
be filled with different models
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mustacmar...@hotmail.de
CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Regarding the disscussion and my post on the following patch:
https://phabricator.kde.org/D7700
Here is the announced bug for it.

Dolphin supports quite some nice panels and the places panel gets more and more
informations which could be shown, places, drives, last searches and the patch
above should include tags in this list.

So I'm just going to copy my post from phab here because it explains exactly
what this "bug" is for:

We should not put everything into the places panel nor should it be a sperate
panel ... sound weird ? Well ... I like the idea of having different panels for
different working scenarios but the static job they were created for is not
ideal, altough we can hide groups from the panel now. My idea is to be able to
add one ore more panels which would be just a container which then can be
filled with different views / models ? (Like toolbars) So for example I can
create a panel by my own, give it a name and customize it to show a list of
tags and shortcuts for my saved searches for example. Then another panel could
contain my device list and the default places section and a third one to
contain the directory tree. That way I would be able to switch very quick
between them, don't need to scroll or reconfigure my panel over and over again.
Maybe someone can follow me and what I am trying to describe. Dolphin then
could offer some preconfigured panels by default but let the users all
possibilities to customize it wahtever they like. Easy by default, powerfull
when needed.

   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.11.5
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: gulagehierleit...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: systemsettings5 (5.11.5)

Qt Version: 5.9.3
Frameworks Version: 5.42.0
Operating System: Linux 4.13.0-32-generic x86_64
Distribution: KDE neon User Edition 5.11

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Clicking through menus from the bottom up. Sidebar mode (v5.11.5+?). Under
Network. I clicked the Bluetooth. (it's deactivated). I clicked Connectivity.
I clicked Settings. I maybe clicked Browser Identification. I maybe clicked
Cookies, Cache, SSL Preferences, Connection Preferences, etc. At about that
point it crashed.

My locale was misconfigured. I can give you the saved output of the locale
command.
My install is new approx 1-30-18 user edition iso.

- Custom settings for the application:

Umm, the entire application is settings... :(
Though, since I have done little activity on this installation so far, I've
archived most of my .config directory. Maybe that helps. I can give you it.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your detailed investigation!

@Dr. Chapatin please upload your wma files which can reproduce the issue to
somewhere I can download from my region, thanks a lot!

left mouse click and drag creates a selection.
To create a large selection that spans through the scrollback region, I would
like to scroll the window and then shift-left-click to extend the selection.
This works in other terminal emulators and web browsers, but not in Konsole.

Konsole version is 2.10.5

Hi there, if i understand correctly you were attempting to open a new window in
Firefox by right clicking on it in the task bar and selecting "new window" Is
that correct? Or do you mean you were attempting to select an already open
window from a list of windows? When did this problem start and how reliably can
you reproduce it?

I decided to move my task bar to the left of my screen, which made global menus
not work for me. But when I tried to disable it I came to realize that the
options to do so were missing (see attached screenshot).

Thus I'm unable to disable the global menu. Has it been moved somewhere else?

I couldn't say it better than you. It's a headache to work in a LAN with remote
files. Simple "user" don't know what will happen when he want to save his
remote opened file. Too much risk to take Plasma seriosly to work daily. It's
my experiencia, unfortunately.

[kmail2] [Bug 389638] When moving imported maildir folders, before they are completely written to disk, they arrive empty, losing all the mails.

2018-01-31 Thread Martin Steigerwald
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389638

Hmmm, okay, here it is about moving the folder before the import in the
background has finished. But yet also there, as a work-around, just moving it
in the filesystem should be faster. And it should safe, as it circumvents that
Akonadi first stuffes mail into the database and then puts them into the
destination location. It may confuse Akonadi at first, but I bet it will pick
up the move in the filesystem as it uses inotify to watch the maildir folders.

Well, the reset button is pretty obvious... it was I that searched the net
without searching dolphin configs first. In this case the blame is on me!!!

However, i still don't know if this will solve my problem!

About Thomas' Comment 16 - It explains exactly my point!!!

A central reset button (for plasma) is very handy in many occasions

Ah, I missed to mention my current work around: I move the folder in the
filesystem and let Akonadi update the database. That still takes some time, but
on my system it is much, much faster than doing it within KMail and thus
Akonadi itself. More detail about this in the other bug report I mentioned.

Thanks for testing. I guess you'd have to enable "Remember last used save mode"
in the settings.

You are right: The first (or second, if the last used mode was different from
save) Ctrl+S brings Spectacle in a bad state, after which a subsequent Ctrl+Q
or Ctrl+S does not work anymore.

Same thing for pressing two/three times Ctrl+Shift+S.

Pressing Ctrl+Q without saving a file first results in expected outcome of the

way to put these in secondary panels. Would be nice if it were possible to move

Another insteresting issue connected to thie behaviour is that sometimes such
misbehaving systemsettings is leaking parts of its gui through other windows
even if it is under them (visual flashes).

Similar issues are with e.g. kmail. I thought that is is because of
qt5-webengine but I'm not so sure right now. If these apps (kmail,
systemsettings5) are run with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb -> mentioned problems are

[plasmashell] [Bug 389725] New: for monospace fonts bold does not work

2018-01-31 Thread Erik Quaeghebeur
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389725

Bug ID: 389725

  Reporter: kdeb...@equaeghe.nospammail.net

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Gentoo stable recently moved to plasma 5.11.5. Since then I have the issue that
bold monospace does not show up (for syntax highlighting, e.g., in kate, but
also in konsole, I think). In pure Qt programs such as Spyder, the issue does
not appear, so it is kde-related. (I wonder how it could be related to plasma,
that seems strange.)

It is not the issue reported in Bug 378523, as there are no occurrences of
",Regular" in config files.

Furthermore, in konsole I can choose the bold variant and it will be used (but
with the regular variant, text that should be bold is not). In kate, choosing a
bold font variant does not change the font to bold (it should, as with a
slanted font variant all text becomes slanted).

If I add

not necessary and that other file managers like dolphin aren't this picky.

I guess I could verify this by building kwin without the device->deleteLater
call then.

However, why is there a device remove event in the first place?

You cannot mix Neon and Debian repositories, unless they use the exact same Qt
version.

Ok, that's the KF5 version then.

Ah.
I will try to investigate.

Unfortunately I cannot run Plasma on Wayland here because my distribution (Leap
42.3) doesn't support it yet.
But I'll use an openSUSE LiveCD (Krypton) I suppose... ;-)

If my theory is correct it'll be difficult to patch, unfortunately.

The Device* is passed as signal argument, but I fear the signal gets queued. If
now in another thread the device gets destroyed, we call deleteLater on the
Device and then we get into the crash situation.

The bad news is that this could happen in many areas. The Device* argument is
passed along in quite a few signals. So if my theory is correct, this might be
crashy in various places. The good news is it should be possible to verify in
the DebugConsole.
